Charming 100+ year old home, breath-taking waterfront view, spectacular sunrises!
"My son-in-law grew up spending his summers in Bayside, and he selected this beautiful property for our 2 week stay. Five bedrooms in the main house plus two in the carriage house gave us plenty of room to spread out and enjoy ourselves, but the huge porch (even bigger than it looks in the photos) was the place we all tended to congregate and enjoy the spectacular view of the Penobscot Bay, from before sunrise until late at night. Three of the bedrooms plus the TV room all have water views -- and we never closed the windows or the shades in our bedroom so we could enjoy it every waking moment, including some postcard worthy sunrises. Having both the century-old icebox-converted-to-a-refrigerator plus the modern refrigerator/freezer made keeping food and drinks for our large group a breeze, and the well-equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking for a crowd. This Bayside cottage is just the place for those who want to stay in the village and venture no farther out than the Corner Store for the not-to-be-missed Maine blueberry ice cream and milkshakes, but it's also perfectly located for day trips to Acadia National Park, the quaint town of Belfast and the stately, historic city of Camden, or a climb of Bald Rock or Mt. Battie in Camden Hills State Park. We would love to return for another stay!"

"We stayed on the deck and steamed lobsters and drank wine every day. It was what we needed. Couldn't be better. Sorry we missed Jerry but his sister showed us the place and left us alone unless we needed anything. Plenty of places to buy live or cooked lobsters/rolls. We went out once for dinner at the Waterfront Restaurant. Really nice place. Be advised if you go there you will have to park on the street but its a short walk and worth it. The house was clean and everything worked as it should. No problems and an overall GREAT break from the real world. Tip. I would try to get past Wiscasset earlier or later to avoid the traffic. Maybe stay in Rockland Friday night before you arrive. Otherwise add an hour for traffic on Rt1 north bound at 1pm-5pm."

"The cottage comfortably fit our family of 6! The amenities at the Newagen Inn were amazing perks- hammovks by the sea, a heated swimming pool, a great restaurant with fantastic happy hour deals. We visit Boothbay every year for a few days and spending the whole week there was so nice. We finally had a chance to visit the aquarium and the botanical garden and got our fill of lobster, too. I would have given this a 5 star if the living room couch had not been completely worn out and if the deck furniture had been cleaner. I just spread some sheets out on all the furniture and made it work fine. I was very happy with the rustic cottage feel of the place. We will definitely return in the next year or two!"

"We really appreciated getting to meet one of the owners Judy who gave us a tour of the house, she took the time to tell us where everything was and how it worked. It is a warm inviting home that makes you feel welcome as soon as you enter. No matter what we needed we were able to find it in this well stocked home. The large deck overlooking the water gave us a panoramic view of the bay with all kinds of boats, and we woke each morning to a beautiful sunrise. This was our first time visiting that part of Maine one of the purposes of the trip was to visit with my brother who lives in the area. He has a boat moored at the Stockton Bay harbor so it was a short trip to his boat. We spent many hour watching him catch lobsters for our dinner. We loved that we were not far from the town which had everything we needed and we could get there within minutes. This house suited all our needs and we enjoyed a fantastic vacation and some quality family time."
