"Well we just completed our 3rd straight September and are looking forward to our 4th at this wonderful location. Nat and Dorothy could not be more gracious to us.
We feel as though we are now " locals" as we arrive each Labor Day weekend for a beautiful month of the peace and quiet of Searsport and Penobscot Bay. We spend our winters anticipating our time in Maine. Having dinner on the deck after an afternoon in the pool, walking in the state parks or exploring Belfast, Bar Harbor and Camden.
The house is always impeccably clean when we arrive and everything is in top working order. I honestly cannot over emphasize how nice it is for us. We have travels many, many miles in our lives but This is our favorite place to just chill out for a month and enjoy the Bay and the wonderful weather."

Great place for bringing our far-flung family together
"We rented this home so that we could meet and play with new twin grandchildren, whose parents are building a home in nearby Jackson. What we couldn't have imagined was how great the house would be for a relaxing vacation. It's hard to know what was more appreciated, given our various interests and ages (from 27 to 68) -- the garden with so many flowers in bloom and its stone walls, the outdoor patio where we grilled fish, the beautiful and isolated bay (terrific for skipping stones), the proximity to Belfast (3 miles) and nearby coastal towns. In fact, what is so terrific about this home is that you don't have to choose--it has it all. We were able to comfortably host the twins and their proud parents, and made full use of the multiple comfortable living areas. We are already planning our next trip. The only caveat is that a car is a necessity, but apparently there is an easy rental agency in town."

"The Lupine cottage, was more than we expected. The inside is well decorated and cozy, we fell in love with the view from the deck. It was a short walk to the harbor, and all the shops and restaurants. We would recommend the Lupine cottage to everyone. We hope to revisit again soon."

"A perfect quiet spot for my wife and I and our 2 dogs. The large back yard, fields, and pond for swimming were great, except I didn't allow enough time for fishing!
The home is very well kept, neat as a pin, and all amenities worked perfectly.
Our 7 day stay went by very fast, and we do hope to return next year!"
