"Cozy house. Plenty of space. Great view. Short walk to Pemaquid Lighthouse. Bar / restaurant a short walk up the road. Outdoor fire pit plus indoor fireplace for those rainy days. Firewood being included was a huge plus. Owner is a great guy and easy to work with. Highly recommended."

"My wife and I, along with our two children, stayed at this property for a week this summer (2015). To say it was fantastic would be an understatement. The property sits about 20' above a wonderful tidal cove that offers unlimited exploring for collecting shells or sea glass. We explored the entire coastline by Kayak and walked for miles along the water. It's one of the most serene and tranquil places we've been to anywhere in Maine.
The house is terrific and offered everything you might need. It's spacious, warm, and inviting and, which offers a great opportunity to reconnect with your family and friends.
The island is slow-paced. Everyone waves while passing by car or bike and in minutes, you'll feel your blood pressure drop and your ability to breathe freely consume you. Grab your bike and ride for miles - every inch of the island is welcoming and offers amazing views. We took the ferry back and forth a couple of times and enjoyed Camden (about 10 minutes away after you exit the ferry) and several restaurants nearby. Even the ferry ride is a vacation in itself. However, I do have to warn every future guest… your last ferry ride before you travel back home will not be enjoyable. It’s a sad experience and one that will most likely leave you questioning why you live where you do when places like this exist.
We've rented many homes before, but Michael (the owner) is above the rest. He's unbelievably welcoming and hospitable; always available for suggestions, any issues that may arise (none did for us) and respectful - he's just a down to earth, nice person. This property and the experience really set the bar higher for any future trip and we’ll most certainly be returning again and again."

"The house is beautiful, in great shape, with high quality furniture, rugs, etc. The experience is, shall we say, above average for rental homes in this area. The owner is professional and responsive. The pictures do not capture the quality of the property."
