  • A Wonderful Week to Remember!

"We were extremely pleased with our stay at the Buttercup cottage! Clean, comfortable and roomy with an outdoor deck overlooking beautiful Linekin Bay. Plenty of linens, kitchen utensils, pans etc made our stay quite comfortable. We picked up lobsters/steamers from the local fish pier on two nights and had everything we needed to cook them at the cottage and enjoyed our feast while sitting on the deck! The bed was quite comfortable. Although there is no A/C, we enjoyed the cool breezes off the bay in the evening. There are two fans available if you should need them. We brought our kayak and were able to bring it across the street to Barrett's Park and kayak all around the bay. The cottage is within walking distance to town, maybe a 10-15 walk. The owners couldn't be nicer and were happy to point out all the great local places to visit. Their recommendations for dining were spot on! We had a wonderful week exploring Boothbay Harbor, New Harbor, a day at Monhegan Island, kayaking to Burnt Island light house, Maine's Botanical Garden and the many hiking preserves with well marked trails nearby. Don't forget to go to Wiscasset and lunch at Red's Eats. An awesome lobster roll experience!! The lines start early, be prepared. Buttercup had all the comforts of home. The eclectic decor was fascinating and tastefully thought out and displayed. Each day, I'd notice something that hadn't caught my eye previously. We would highly recommend a stay at Buttercup. We look forward to a return visit in the future. There's still much more exploring of Maine's mid coast to do."

  • Maine at its Best

"The Starboard Cabin was better than expectations and everything was just perfect. The small apartment is decorated perfectly making your stay more than comfortable. The view from both the living room and the deck is great and a constant reminder that you are in Booth Bay. We were within walking distance to everything in town, including the best restaurant "Ports of Italy"."

  • Perfect in Every Way!

"The Moorings is the perfect vacation spot! It is a lovely, Maine house with charm and an amazing location right on the water. We spent a week at this house for a family reunion (there were 16 of us!) and absolutely fell in love. There was space for all of us, a kitchen that had more pots, pans, dishes, and glasses than most summer camps and a view from the porch that was worth every penny. We brought our kayaks and paddleboards and tied them at the private dock. Since the Moorings is on a bay, we could boat and swim in the calm waters every day. It was heavenly. The cute, small residential area of Bayville had tennis and indoor ping pong and everyone we met was friendly and kind. By the end of the trip, we were all scheming how we could own such a property on the coast of Maine. This house is a gem. We are so thankful to have found it for this week and we can't wait to return!"

  • Peaceful

"I treated my wife to a week in Maine for her 70th birthday and I could not have chosen a better place. An Tiggin cottage is a wonderfully comfortable and cozy home with beautiful gardens and placid views. The cottage is in great condition with all the amenities one would need. Our host, Brooke, has created a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the Boothbay region. Our week, the last of September 2014, blessed us with terrific weather. We hope to come back again in 2015. Thanks Brooke for sharing your cottage with us."
