  • Fabulous Location

"We have spent the last few summer vacations at Snowman's Cottage. The location is perfect. Our summer begins when we see the view from the front yard! The addition of Inn amenities ,at no cost, is an extra special bonus to the rental of this property.Booth Bay is wonderfully located and you can plan a day trip every day of your vacation and never run out of things to do and new places to see.The cottage is fully stocked and spacious.I highly recommend this for your next Mid Coast visit."

  • A Wonderful Week to Remember!

"We were extremely pleased with our stay at the Buttercup cottage! Clean, comfortable and roomy with an outdoor deck overlooking beautiful Linekin Bay. Plenty of linens, kitchen utensils, pans etc made our stay quite comfortable. We picked up lobsters/steamers from the local fish pier on two nights and had everything we needed to cook them at the cottage and enjoyed our feast while sitting on the deck! The bed was quite comfortable. Although there is no A/C, we enjoyed the cool breezes off the bay in the evening. There are two fans available if you should need them. We brought our kayak and were able to bring it across the street to Barrett's Park and kayak all around the bay. The cottage is within walking distance to town, maybe a 10-15 walk. The owners couldn't be nicer and were happy to point out all the great local places to visit. Their recommendations for dining were spot on! We had a wonderful week exploring Boothbay Harbor, New Harbor, a day at Monhegan Island, kayaking to Burnt Island light house, Maine's Botanical Garden and the many hiking preserves with well marked trails nearby. Don't forget to go to Wiscasset and lunch at Red's Eats. An awesome lobster roll experience!! The lines start early, be prepared. Buttercup had all the comforts of home. The eclectic decor was fascinating and tastefully thought out and displayed. Each day, I'd notice something that hadn't caught my eye previously. We would highly recommend a stay at Buttercup. We look forward to a return visit in the future. There's still much more exploring of Maine's mid coast to do."

  • Wonderful getaway

"Al's Lupine Cottage is perfect for visiting the bustling harbor while maintaining the serenity of nature that this location offers. With a deck overlooking the large backyard, you can enjoy Maine at its best while looking through the trees at the activity of the harbor below. We will have good memories of morning coffee and evening wine on the deck! The cottage is immaculate, well-decorated and generously supplied with all your needs. We previously stayed at a top-notch bed/breakfast in BBH, but we prefer the privacy of this cottage. The walk to town is just long enough to be refreshing, and the path is a better option than the steep road. However, don't miss a walk across the road to say "hi" to Moe, the delightful neighbor whose stories will entertain you. Our favorite meal was at Boathouse Bistro (yummy scallops and lobster dishes) and we highly recommend the Lazy Jack Schooner Cruise. Captain Joe was great! We found Al, the owner of Lupine, to be a consummate professional who wants to make sure his guests are happy with their stay. Thanks, Al, for sharing your home with us! We will return."

  • Great property, highly recommend, excellent value.

"Happy to say we have become regulars at this condo. The location is fantastic, a few minutes walk from BBH but away from the noise of the bars, and with a lovely view across Mill Cove. We prefer the 2nd floor two bedroom unit which is perfect for a couple we have plenty of room to spread out and an extra bed for any snoring issues, plus the view from the covered deck is lovely. The owners, Karen and Julie, are fantastic hosts - friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. They continue to update the property and refresh the décor - new windows and ceiling fan this year and some new furniture. This is not your typical drab, grimy vacation rental furnished with Grandma's rejects, this place couldn't be any cleaner, is well equipped and the décor is bright, cheerful and modern beach-y. Always plenty to do in BBH and surroundings - we are already planning for next year."
