"Charming... best vacation my family had in years."

  • Fantastic

"This cottage is clean as a whistle, with everything and more that you will need to relax and enjoy the Boothbay area. The furnishings were clean and comfortable and the home surprisingly roomy. We were able to hear the gulls and fog horns! It is just far enough outside of the noise of downtown Boothbay and yet very close. Great place to stay!!!"

  • Great Place to Just Relax!

"My husband and I stayed here for two weeks in August and September of 2009 and are planning on coming back again in 2010. The house is a classic old Maine home, with lots of antiques and a rustic feel, and it is perched right on Cosy Harbor, with a great view of the sunsets and the resident osprey. The owners are lovely, friendly folks whose families have been in Maine for generations and couldn't be more helpful. The community of Southport is a small, close-knit community that does welcome "summer people" and the Boothbay area's attractions are many and varied. If you're looking for an inexpensive, comfortable family getaway place, look no further!"

  • Missing Maine Already!

"I was lucky girl to be asked by my best friend, of 25 years, to join her on a getaway to Maine. The trip was a gift from her loving husband. After a 20 hour ride in the car, we walked into An Tigin and the first minute there, we looked at one another and said “We’ll be back!” Your photos on line do not begin to capture the magic within the walls and outside. We felt like we were staying in a spotless home filled with everything one could possible need, instead of a vacation rental. Comfy beds, nice linens and fluffy pillows were greatly appreciated. If one takes the time to look at your photo albums on the coffee table, they’ll learn how much a labor of love went inside. The weather was not in our favor but we loved every moment. Our best times we’re just laughing while we flew kites in the rain and talking as we picked up shells on Capitol Island. There is something about the ocean that soothes the soul! Thank you for allowing two friends to rekindle our friendship and feel refreshed. We loved meeting you and felt as if you could have been one of our friends back home in Michigan! What I will miss the most is the view out the front bedroom window every morning. (So much so, that I took a photo while standing at the window so I will always have it to remember.) The only thing one could want for from an Tigin is to spend more time there! With fond memories, Cyndi ~ Michigan"
