"My wife and I, accompanied by our adult daughter, came up for a late May week to visit with relatives and friends who were opening cottages for the summer season. This small, cozy cottage was a real treat. It is furnished simply, a traditional cottage that has not been remodeled, as so many have at Ocean Point. But it had enough modern amenities to make our stay pleasant, including very comfortable beds.
The ocean views are spectacular, and with luck, you might get to see more than the ever-present gulls, cormorants, and other water birds. On our last morning, we were surprised when, previously unnoticed, a bald eagle suddenly launched into flight from one of the trees down my the road. May weather was a bit cool to make full use of the front deck, but during summer days, it would provide a great space to relax and soak up the ocean scene."

"One of the best vacations.... the condo is just beautiful and the view is gorgeous, the landscape always changing with tide was very enjoyable. Being able to walk 5 mins in to the hub of Booth Bay with it's great selection of little stores and restaurants was excellent. The food was great, we really enjoyed the Blue Moon and McSeagulls. Day trips were abundant and we did not get to visit them all in the week we were there, so of course that means we have to go back to see the rest of it. Hopefully sooner than later."

Nice, comfortable and unconventional house near the Maine coast
"We were travelling with two adults and a boy (14) and enjoyed our stay at the Souler house. The location is quiet and at night it gets almost completely dark, yet Wiscasset is near enough. We missed sitting outside, though, because there is no real terrace. It is not easy to find hiking trails either; a map or some descriptions of nearby walks would come in handy."
