"This home was everything we had hoped for! So comfortable and quaint..furnishings were very homey, kitchen easy to work from. Comfy living room with wood burning stove, which we took advantage of! Loft space off the main house perfect for extended family. And Tenants Harbor was perfect! Access to the bay and the shared floating dock was the best! Great place to sit and dream, read or just be. Best part of the house was the outside porch! Comfy, and the views were spectacular! The owner was very accessible and friendly! We will be back Maine!!"

"Our family recently visited Saltwater Farm for the first time. Our only complaint was that our 5 day visit was too short! The house is roomy and comfortably furnished. The location was beautiful - a short walk across a field to the ocean, where even in October the kids enjoyed exploring the rocky shore line. Our evenings were spent playing in the barn - basketball and ping pong equipment were provided, relaxing with a book by the fireplace, or sitting on the deck enjoying the view. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals for our family, and numerous restaurants were just a short drive from the house. Bill and Maggie were wonderful to work with - they responded to our many e-mails promptly. It is evident that Saltwater Farm is well loved not only by the owners, but by the caretakers as well as those who have visited. We look forward to returning and would highly recommend Saltwater Farm."

"This was our second time renting Riverwatch, and it was just as wonderful as the the first. First of all, the house is ideally located, tastefully decorated and perfectly configured for our family of four. It's on a beautiful spot along the St George River and is close to lovely beaches and the towns of Tenants Harbor and Rockland. While we've been vacationing in this area for years, we're always on the lookout for new discoveries. The beach on Clark Island was this year's favorite. For our family, one of the best aspects of this particular rental is the fact that the master bed and bath are in a separate cottage, just a few feet from the main house. It is very clear that the owners take good care of their property and continue to make updates and improvements. The new couch and outdoor chairs were a big plus, for example. Speaking of the owners, Kathryn is wonderful to deal with. She answers emails promptly, communicates thoroughly and seems genuinely concerned that her guests all have a wonderful time. We did and can't wait to return. Thank you Kathryn and Joe!"

"This was our second year to spend a week in September at the Carousel. We will definitely want to return again and again. The house is beautifully located on a bluff overlooking the ocean with a deck that offers gorgeous views of the sunrise, the ocean with working lobster boats and, of course, the sound of surf pounding below. One special feature that we loved was the way the sun warms the deck in the morning so that even on chilly September morings it was comfortable to sit outside and enjoy coffee with the view. Inside, the house is well equipped for cooking and relaxing. We loved the comfortable living room with its many windows, making it possible to enjoy the view even on rainy or stormy days. There are two bedrooms downstairs, each with its own bathroom (beautifully rennovated) and a bed upstairs in the loft. The only problem I could find with the house is that a couple sleeping upstairs cannot access a bathroom without going through one of the downstairs bedrooms. If children are sleeping in the loft ths might be ok, but not for, say, a third couple. Otherwise, I would say the house is perfect. If you prefer to do something other than sit on the deck, there are lovely places to visit nearby - for example, the Marshall Point Lighthouse, the little village of Port Clyde, Drift-in Beach, the Lobster Lane Used Bookstore (unfortunately only open on weekends) and Monhegan Island which has a nice boat ride to get there and some wonderful hiking. The house and its surroundings are all a very special experience!"
