"What a wonderful way to spend downtime with the family. We typically stay pretty busy on vacation and everyone was content to just hang out this time. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the cottage and views. The cottage was homey with the stone fireplace and comfortable furniture. It was great to have the windows open to enjoy the breeze and sounds of the wave. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us (and thanks for the reminder of the bonfire on the rocks). I hope to return in the future."

"As we drove down Pemiquid Trails to the Laughing Gull cottage we admired the beautiful homes along the ocean and the quiet of the street.
And then we came to the cottage, we could tell it was a log cabin built many years ago and situated on a perfect piece of property. The windows had window boxes with beautiful yellow and blue wildflowers.
The property was extremely well manicured, and the pine trees in the front on the ocean side couldn’t have been more picturesque. Two white picket chairs sitting there, just waiting for us to come out with a good glass of wine and watch the Sun set.
Once we entered the cabins, we immediately left all the stress at the door; we felt like we were home. The cabin was beautiful, well-appointed and so peaceful. Every amenity was thought of and we needed to bring nothing but our clothes, books and food. The cabin was immaculately clean and smelled fresh.
The kitchen had every cooking utensil you would need, even Lobster plates and a lobster pot! Plenty of dishes, silverware even a poaching pan for eggs. We found additional treats, such as, the bathroom had a heater, the bed had a mattress warmer and propane heater that could heat the whole house.
The small barn out back had more than enough fire wood to satisfy the beautiful ocean stone fireplace, it was huge and burned beautiful fires – what a treat.
Plenty of activities to do within a close ride, lot of trials, and sites to see, good restaurants. Additionally two well-maintained bikes were in the barn for our use. The Host was also in residence and came over to introduce himself and ask if we needed anything to give him a call. It is a good feeling to have the owner close by – just in case.
We are so pleased with finding the Laughing Gull that we have booked two weeks next year.

"I have always wanted to share the beauty and magic of my birth state with my friends from afar. We searched long and hard for the most idllic accommodations and decided on this island get away with 3 other families. Every expectation was exceeded. Gigi and Matt were the most gracious hosts. Adventures included clam digging, harvesting mussels, lobster bake on the rocks, scenic boat excursions & fairy house construction along an enchanted moss covered trail. Gigi had exceptional patience with the children who wanted to help her in the kitchen at every moment. They published the daily menu, set the table, baked cookies and made pizza together. The food she prepared for us was delicious & healthy. We highly recommend this vacation destination. It was an amazing week."

"Peaceful and relaxing. Spacious sleeping arrangements. Enjoyed using the kayaks, grill, and deck.
Less than half hour to Hallowell (for small shops and large antique mall) and Augusta. Visit the State of Maine museum! Very nicely done and extremely inexpensive ($2 for adults, $1 for teens). Hussey's General Store is nearby and a must-see: guns, ammo, wedding gowns, and cold beer!
Suggestions: additional seating for dining. Cabin sleeps 8 comfortably but only 3 chairs for dining. Also, anyone taller than 6' needs to duck through doorways and on second floor."
