"My family and friends just enjoyed the best, most relaxing vacation we have seen in a long time. I am an amateur chef and the kitchen was to die for. Fully stocked with everything you need! The home sets up perfectly with several "spaces" for relaxing, firewatching, hot tub, reading, conversing, admiring the flowers and eating! The location is perfect: waterfront with privacy and a 5 minute walk to town. We had fresh flowers from the garden in each room. Truly amazing the work and love Karen and Alden dedicate to their garden! We enjoyed 9 out of 10 days without rain! The day it did rain, no big deal, snuggled by the fire with a book! All the firewood provided by Alden (and it was dry!) I have stayed in the area for 7 of the last 8 years and this was by far the best home we have rented. We felt welcome and at home: Serenity!
Thank you Alden and Karen (and Katrina the cat!)"

"Our family had a wonderful vacation at this property. The home is very spacious and well equipped. There beautiful views from the many windows in the living room and from the balcony in the master bedroom which was large and extremely comfortable. There is a lovely screened in porch to sit in and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Sheepscot river below. We rented kayaks in town and had them delivered and enjoyed the water almost every day. The house is convenient to Bath, Damariscotta and Boothbay Harbor. For dinner don't miss the Montsweag Roadhouse (comfort food) or the Newcastle Public House (organic, local). This home is very clean and has all the modern necessities. Would definitely choose Riverwind again."

"Birch Point is close to ideal. It's secluded and off the beaten path, yet still proximate to all the local attractions (Popham Beach, Bath and its shops, Reid State Park, etc). The house itself is perfect for a small family, and its water views are ever-changing: watch the fog roll in or out, watch the tides transform the vista, watch bald eagles, herons, and lobster boats ply the coves. (On a more practical level, all the necessary amenities are here, including a washer/dryer.) The deck is perfect for peaceful dinners overlooking the water. The neighbors are not just friendly but welcoming to visitors, while also being respectful of your privacy. The true Maine spirit here."

"From the moment we began our stay at Eleanor and Pete's apartment we knew we had hit the jackpot! From an introductory tour to acquaint us with the goings on in the area, to the boat ride, our hosts were terrific. We could be alone when we wanted privacy, but could sit and talk at other times. We enjoyed a lobster dinner on their deck.
The apartment was spotless and the kitchen was furnished with everything we needed. We heartily recommend this quiet and peaceful place.
Convenient to places of interest."
