  • A real Maine Cottage

"Bill, the owner, has a perfect Maine get-away in the woods and near the ocean. The cottage is modern enough yet simple enough as well. The cottage has lovely windows everywhere...so much great light. The wood burning fireplace was superb on cool October mornings and evenings. We would return and rent again because we were very pleased with our rental decision."

  • Delightful week in New Harbor, Maine

"Our family of four adults and a young toddler thoroughly enjoyed our week in this lovely home. It was spotless when we arrived, with the spacious yard freshly mowed. Although full of beautiful antiques, the house was easy to childproof, and our grandson loved the freedom to play inside and on the beautiful big porch. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and the back patio was a terrific place for our extended family to have a barbeque party. The owner was a joy to work with, and made booking this vacation a breeze. Other family members were jealous of our find! We'll be back, for sure."

  • Wonderful location, well-maintained property

"We arrived to find a spotless house in an amazing location. As pictured and described in the listing, this house is located right on the quiet side of Camden Harbor; as you look out the back door, you can see downtown Camden and the active waterfront. The waterfront for this property is private with a lawn that leads right down to the water and to a private dock. The walk to town is surprisingly short and we were able to leave our car parked in the drive on the days we were exploring town. This home is conveniently located near Route 1 and other minor highways which will take you to the area's attractions, including Mount Battie in Camden Hills State Park, Megunticook Lake, and other coastal towns. Camden has enough to offer that you wouldn't necessarily need to go elsewhere, however: there are restaurants for all tastes and a small grocery in walking distance that has nearly everything!! There are galleries and shops and sightseeing ventures right in town. It's a great little New England town. There is a beautiful breeze that blows through the home when doors and windows are open. One minor negative is that the door to the deck does not have a screen, so, if left open, you may have some unwanted insects. We are from Massachusetts and there seemed to be fewer insects in Maine, so we weren't particularly bothered by this. The home is kept in amazing condition and is very well-appointed with everything you need and even things you didn't realize you needed! We used the laundry even though we did not expect to and found the basement in such a clean state. There were fans and air conditioners for a hot day but honestly, the windows and doors provided us adequate relief in the 70F to 85F temperatures. The owner contacted us a few days before our travel and provided all of the information we required. He had us inform him when we arrive and even checked in with us mid-week to make sure all was well and to see if we needed anything. This is definitely a home we would consider returning to in the future."

  • Nebraska Lobster Lovers

"We absolutely love this house . This house is so very comfortable and provides for all amenities needed for cooking, dining, and clean-up, from lobster dinners to burgers on the grill. The bedrooms are lovely and spacious, bathrooms are the same. We feel it is very well maintained and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed lunch at the Rockland Cafe, breakfast at Port Clyde and the lovely farmers markets at various villages. Our dealings with the owner could not have been easier. He is very responsive and accommodating. We have been there 3 times and can't wait to return next year."
