"Good stuff first. We stayed here with my family as sort of a reunion. My Parents, my sister & spouse, my brother & spouse. The house only sleeps six and they are VERY firm about this. No squeezing people in on the couch. That being the case my husband and I stayed with relatives until my brother left (they were only with us part of the week) We moved over on Tuesday. The house is situated on a cliff and views of the ocean are stunning and the house is designed so that you are able to see the ocean from not only the living room(sliders that open onto a deck)but also the master bedroom. the sound of the waves crashing on the cliffs below is deafening. Spent mornings drinking coffee on the deck and If you are up early enough, you will be able to see Lobster boats pulling in traps right in front of you.At night with a glass of wine is even better. Coming home I can honestly say that I missed the sound of the waves very, very badly! We had the good fortune of spectacular weather (only one day of fog) and being able to view many sunrises and moon sets over the water, Gorgeous! I cannot stress enough how healing and magical it is. There is a wood burning fireplace (buy your own firewood) We took advantage of the fireplace on the foggy day and it was very relaxing to have a "stay in" day with a nice fire, it took the chill and the damp out and we enjoyed some old movies. One of the bedrooms has a small library with a nice selection of Books. I will recommend "Lighthouse Horrors" for some good old fashioned scary stories (Perfect reading for being in Maine on vacation with the sound of the waves in the background)The ocean is accessible by means of a steep path to the left of the house & there is a rope rigged up to assist you getting down to the cliffs, spent many hours just laying on the rocks and sunning & reading. Do not advise swimming here as the waves and the currents are too strong. Now the bad;The living room furniture needs updating. It is comfortable but worn. The dishwasher turns on at random, the dryer was not in good working order,TV is ancient &Flat screens are so cheap nowadays. No excuse not to update especially for over $2000.00 a week. The guest bedroom queen mattress needs replacement, old and probably one of the most uncomfortable mattresses my husband and I have ever slept & we traveled all over the world, (all of Europe) They need to update this mattress! Other then this id recommend this property."

"Every year three couples take a fall trip and this year we chose Maine. Looking on VRBO for a place to stay we found this wonderful very roomy place, from the beginning, Doris was very easy to work with. We got in after dark and was kind of hard to navigate but we found it and was very much surprised to find out how big it was. All the rooms on main floor are very roomy. The next morning we woke up to beautiful views overlooking the inlet. We got to enjoy fall foliage, pumpkin festival, boat ride, lobster dinners cooked at the house, fire in the fire pit on patio, full moon and bottles of wine and beer. The house is well equipped for everything you need, games and books included. All 3 couples agreed this was the most spacious place we have rented in our 20+ years of doing our fall trip. We would definitely recommend it to others. We all wanted to stay an extra week but had to get back. Thanks for sharing your Beautiful Home with us."

"I can't say enough about our family stay at the yellow house. We fluctuated between 13-17 and had ample room for all. The back porch was a great gathering place for the entire family and games in the backyard were a must. I can't thank Steve for his hospitality. He communicated with us all the way through the process and answered any questions that we had. Daramascotta is a nice little town that offered lots for people to see.
That's again and I would recommend to all!"

"What can we say! This place was amazing! 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom, makes for getting ready to go out so easy! Fully equipped kitchen and grill on the deck make preparing food for meals easy. Eating at the dining table on the porch was beautiful and the views never got old. This house is a nice base for taking day trips in any direction or just relaxing for the day on the deck or porch. Couple exits south on RT 1 at Cooks corner you have a Shaws and Walmart for all your shopping needs. Everyone in my group enjoyed their stay and was very sad to go. I think even our baby...due in a few weeks did too lol. Don't pass this place up. Majestic views everyday that don't get old. Check out the little island in the harbor with the telescope or binoculars...you might see some puffins. And keep an eye out in the water between the fort for seals frolicking in the water. We hope to return next year!"
