  • Fall is beautiful

"We had a great stay. Arlen greeted us and showed us around this very interesting home with lots of unique touches. We loved Boothbay Harbor as a place to do a LOT of things. We rode bikes to the Botanical Gardens (only 3 miles away), which is a must see if you visit the state of Maine. It was voted as the best public gardens in the US, and we would agree. We did a 2 hour boat trip to see light houses and seals. We did hikes - especially liked the one in Linekin Preserve beyond East Boothbay (stop at the General Store for lunch). And we ate - a lot. Ports of Italy, Thistle Inn and Boathouse Bistro were favorites for dinner. Best "lobtah" roll was at the Trevett General Store beyond the Botanical Gardens."

  • Perfect Place!

"Our multigenerational family of 12 just returned from a wonderful week at Schooner's Landing. The ocean front house was beautiful with warmly decorated rooms and peaceful views of the ocean. The downstairs area provided the grandchildren with many activities, from toys to video games, and from watching a movie to playing board games. The kitchen was well-equipped and it was fun to cook while we all talked together in that spacious area. Each family had their own level of the house which was nice for comfort and privacy. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a welcome basket which made us feel we were in a "home away from home." The owners were available at any time for questions and were extremely helpful. We would recommend this home!"

  • The perfect choice

"The cottage has all the amenities one could want without sacrificing its coastal charm. It's a very short drive to downtown Searsport, close to beautiful state parks, museums, antique shops and fresh seafood. The cottage provides easy access to the beach, fantastic views, a deck great for catching rays, grilling or just watching the tide roll in. Very clean, with comfortable beds, nice linens and enough hot water for everyone. The pictures don't lie. We have used VRBO to stay across the country, and always had a positive experience. But we've never had a more friendly and accommodating host working with us than Nancy. Her thoughtfulness and consideration made our trip even better. It's not a question of if we will be back, just a matter of when."

  • This Place Was Amazing

"My wife and I have been many Places, but this was one of the nicest. The cabin was great and the setting was beautiful. We had our 2 small children with us and it was nice to just relax in the house and on the lake (with the kayaks or tubs we brought), or just sit in the Jacuzzi. Walking down to the “point” every morning was a highlight. It was also a good spot to go see some of the very scenic towns, like Camden, Belfast, Bar Harbor, Freeport and Portland. This is the first time we had ever rented a house and everything was great. The only problem was being there for a week makes you want to start looking for real-estate. This place really is what I would consider a dream cabin."
