  • A dream 10 days "away" in the perfect house and location

"this house and wrap-around waterfront property was the perfect, peaceful, true 10-day getaway that we all needed. our adult children joined us, and time and worries from the real world quickly dissolved into days of reading, exploring, photography and fresh summer feasts cooked and enjoyed outside and inside. and countless croquet and badminton matches on the ridiculously picturesque and expansive lawn overlooking maple juice cove. highly recommended sanctuary for anyone in need of an infusion of marine air, electric star and meteor shows, and the rejuvenating powers of mid-coast maine. and yes, plenty of shopping, food, antique and exploring options when needed! enjoy this little piece of heaven on earth..."

  • shabby-chic coastal cottage loaded with amenities and close to Maine's best!

"This adorable cottage was full of charm and was vibrantly decorated with unique coastal antiques and finds. There was plenty of space for the whole family to get comfortable, both inside and out... I really enjoyed the small sun porch first thing in the morning. We slept very well on their comfortable mattresses and with Maine's cool August's nights. We put up our own screen house so we were able to enjoy the peaceful pond view at breakfast and dinner time free of mosquitoes (although they weren't that bad without it.) The cottage even had a grill and a large portable fire pit available for outdoor fires. The mud room was perfect place to store all of our beach and hiking gear. There was a shed where we were able to lock up our bikes, as well. The cottage was shocked with the amenities of home that make vacationing in a cottage enjoyable and convenient: dishwasher, linens, towels, iron, small TV, games and more! The washer and dryer were VERY useful, too! They thought of it all! The location was close to so many sights and activities. We enjoyed taking morning hikes on local nature trails, scenic bike rides and going to Totman Cove right down the street. What a great little secluded beach that was perfect for young children and dogs. In the afternoons we would head to the beautiful Popham Beach, which is free with the Maine State Park pass they provided. The owners provided a wonderful welcome packet and there are guides, brochures and maps at the cottage for those looking for some ideas of where and what to do in the area and beyond. This area is very special and can create many wonderful family memories. My family has been vacationing on this peninsula every summer since I was a baby. Now, my husband, toddler, dog and I have ventured out to find a cottage that fits our family's needs and wants.... we found it here! We are looking forward to vacationing here for the years to come and making our own wonderful Maine memories!"

  • Best View in Maine Rental

"The best view in Maine sure lives up to its name! We spent most of our time on the screened in porch just to enjoy the view. The house was very well maintained and stocked with all the essential items needed. My family loves the rocky coast so it was really nice to be able to enjoy it right out in front of the house. Just a short drive to Boothbay Harbor and all of the really wonderful restaurants, our favorites included Ports of Italy ,Mine Oyster, McSeagulls and for a really nice lunch we really enjoyed the brewery ( great food, great people and excellent beer) and can't forget Wannawaff for the ice cream. We spent a beautiful day at nearby Reed State park. The grocery store is close. It was a great week. We would definitely recommend this house."

  • Three adults and large dog

"A wonderful, clean, and well equipped house with plenty of space - even rainy days were comfortable. The view was spectacular from most of the rooms, especially at sunset! Get your lobsters from the coop, and consume them while watching the fox play in the meadow. We will probably return next time we go to Maine to escape southern heat."
