  • Fabulous spot for a vacation

"My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Seas The Day. You couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot to spend a vacation. The setting, right on the water, is perfect. Each evening we watched the sun set over the water, each night we fell asleep listening to the waves break over the shore. All the amenities of home were provided in an immaculate place in a Maine paradise. We couldn't recommend this ocean front retreat any stronger. Visit once and you will fall in love with it,too."

  • Beautiful and Relaxing

"My husband and I just finished a week's stay at this lovely South Thomaston home and couldn't be more pleased with our experience. The home is located directly on the Weskeag River providing a beautiful view from the back deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee, or from the chairs near the river bank in the evening sipping a glass of wine. We made use of the easy river access for kayaking once we got used to the tides. A well-equipped kitchen came in handy for a lobster dinner one night, and as a whole, we enjoyed the quiet comfort of the home. Many thanks to Jon & Kate for their thorough assistance in getting us settled in with details about everything upon our arrival -- and for their patience, as our flight was delayed, so we were later than expected. The home is in a terrific location: Rockland is a short drive away, so during our stay we visited the Farnsworth, had lunch at Cafe Miranda, and a fabulous sushi dinner at Suzuki's. A bit farther up Hwy 1 in Rockport, we enjoyed meals at Shepherd's Pie, then Natalie's near Camden. Although we didn't eat at Primo this trip, it's a short trip north on Rte 73 and delicious! We enjoyed both Owl's Head and Marshall Point Lighthouses on our visit, taking time to hike around Owl's Head during low tide, and returning for the sunset because it's such a short drive from the house. I could go on and on, but think I've made my point -- a truly lovely place to stay!"

  • Beautiful Oceanview Home

"The pictures of this home really say it all. Stone walkway patio is wonderful to enjoy your coffee as the sun comes up. Sunsets are amazing. Beach across the street with a park for the children to play. Home is nautical themed. Nicely decorated. Location is wonderful, beautiful short walk to fabulous restaurants. Homeowners are fantastic, helpful and attentive for all our needs. Very knowledgeable, and willing to suggest day trips etc. Wonderful place to stay!!"

  • shabby-chic coastal cottage loaded with amenities and close to Maine's best!

"This adorable cottage was full of charm and was vibrantly decorated with unique coastal antiques and finds. There was plenty of space for the whole family to get comfortable, both inside and out... I really enjoyed the small sun porch first thing in the morning. We slept very well on their comfortable mattresses and with Maine's cool August's nights. We put up our own screen house so we were able to enjoy the peaceful pond view at breakfast and dinner time free of mosquitoes (although they weren't that bad without it.) The cottage even had a grill and a large portable fire pit available for outdoor fires. The mud room was perfect place to store all of our beach and hiking gear. There was a shed where we were able to lock up our bikes, as well. The cottage was shocked with the amenities of home that make vacationing in a cottage enjoyable and convenient: dishwasher, linens, towels, iron, small TV, games and more! The washer and dryer were VERY useful, too! They thought of it all! The location was close to so many sights and activities. We enjoyed taking morning hikes on local nature trails, scenic bike rides and going to Totman Cove right down the street. What a great little secluded beach that was perfect for young children and dogs. In the afternoons we would head to the beautiful Popham Beach, which is free with the Maine State Park pass they provided. The owners provided a wonderful welcome packet and there are guides, brochures and maps at the cottage for those looking for some ideas of where and what to do in the area and beyond. This area is very special and can create many wonderful family memories. My family has been vacationing on this peninsula every summer since I was a baby. Now, my husband, toddler, dog and I have ventured out to find a cottage that fits our family's needs and wants.... we found it here! We are looking forward to vacationing here for the years to come and making our own wonderful Maine memories!"
