  • Beautiful Home in Seawood Park

"I have to echo another reviewer in that the best endorsement of this beautiful house is that we rented it for 1-2 weeks each summer from 2002 to 2010. This house is impeccably decorated, perfectly designed, very comfortable and in an absolutely great location. The neighborhood is beautiful and the sunsets defy description. There is also a common beach/coastal area that provides access to the beach and has a beautiful coastal walk the length of the development. There is plenty to do in the area with great restaurants and shopping in Wiscassett and Boothbay to the south, Damariscotta locally, and Rockland, Rockport and Camden to the North, all within an hour or so drive. In addition, within just a few miles, there are several great restaurants, a historic fort, a famous lighthouse and a public beach. I have rented other houses in the area over the years and this house by far has been the best. All in all this is just a great place. Highest recommendation."

  • Comfy, Relaxing Cottage

"What a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life! We stayed for 5 nights as we attended a wedding at the lighthouse on Friday. Janet could not have been more helpful with keeping in contact, a beautiful card, information on Maine waiting on the table. The cottage was a delight with a screened in porch, some food in the fridge, and a short walk to the shore. Did I mention a screened in porch!! : )Wedding lobster bake at a co-op, New Harbor for a dinner, North Country Wind Bells on Rt. 32, Freeport for LLBean, and Damariscotta with a pirate festival on Saturday lent for an enjoyable exploration of the area. A splendid place to unwind!"

  • Great private cottage on the ocean with rocks and small sandy beach

"My husband and I couldn't wait to get away after a hot rainy summer in Pennsylvania. We picked Maine because we thought the weather might be just right in September, and it was perfect. Cool, dry and relaxing. Enjoyed the lovely, super clean and well-equipped cottage. The owner was extremely helpful and left lots of information for us to easily traverse the area. Enjoyed the Pemaquid Light House and wonderful art gallery on the premises. Visited the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Harbor....a must see. Would recommend the River Grill in Damariscotta for dinner and the Cupboard Cafe in New Harbor for breakfast. Best Lobster Roll at Sarah's Restaurant in Wiscasset. Also, binoculars and telescope were a nice touch in the cottage along with the TV and WiFi. Only disappointment was my husband couldn't locate ESPN, which is probably available, but we are technologically challenged. He did manage to find every football game that was broadcast that week on the football network. Whew!!"

  • Fabulous ocean views from living room and kitchen !

"We really enjoyed the fantastic ocean views from the living room and kitchen !! The home is very private, and we enjoyed watching the boats, birds, and the crashing surf. There is a path from the house down to the rocks from where the views are breath taking. There is a booklet with information about things to do in the area. The binoculars and Wifi were a nice touch. There are not too many channels on TV, but there were many games and jigsaw puzzles that we played. Had a fun trip to the top of the Pemaquid lighthouse, Pemaquid beach, Boothbay railway village and botanical gardens during this stay. Pictures don't do this house justice, and we would love to return. Thank you Laura. We had a wonderful vacation !"
