"Good stuff first. We stayed here with my family as sort of a reunion. My Parents, my sister & spouse, my brother & spouse. The house only sleeps six and they are VERY firm about this. No squeezing people in on the couch. That being the case my husband and I stayed with relatives until my brother left (they were only with us part of the week) We moved over on Tuesday. The house is situated on a cliff and views of the ocean are stunning and the house is designed so that you are able to see the ocean from not only the living room(sliders that open onto a deck)but also the master bedroom. the sound of the waves crashing on the cliffs below is deafening. Spent mornings drinking coffee on the deck and If you are up early enough, you will be able to see Lobster boats pulling in traps right in front of you.At night with a glass of wine is even better. Coming home I can honestly say that I missed the sound of the waves very, very badly! We had the good fortune of spectacular weather (only one day of fog) and being able to view many sunrises and moon sets over the water, Gorgeous! I cannot stress enough how healing and magical it is. There is a wood burning fireplace (buy your own firewood) We took advantage of the fireplace on the foggy day and it was very relaxing to have a "stay in" day with a nice fire, it took the chill and the damp out and we enjoyed some old movies. One of the bedrooms has a small library with a nice selection of Books. I will recommend "Lighthouse Horrors" for some good old fashioned scary stories (Perfect reading for being in Maine on vacation with the sound of the waves in the background)The ocean is accessible by means of a steep path to the left of the house & there is a rope rigged up to assist you getting down to the cliffs, spent many hours just laying on the rocks and sunning & reading. Do not advise swimming here as the waves and the currents are too strong. Now the bad;The living room furniture needs updating. It is comfortable but worn. The dishwasher turns on at random, the dryer was not in good working order,TV is ancient &Flat screens are so cheap nowadays. No excuse not to update especially for over $2000.00 a week. The guest bedroom queen mattress needs replacement, old and probably one of the most uncomfortable mattresses my husband and I have ever slept & we traveled all over the world, (all of Europe) They need to update this mattress! Other then this id recommend this property."

"My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Seas The Day. You couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot to spend a vacation. The setting, right on the water, is perfect. Each evening we watched the sun set over the water, each night we fell asleep listening to the waves break over the shore. All the amenities of home were provided in an immaculate place in a Maine paradise. We couldn't recommend this ocean front retreat any stronger. Visit once and you will fall in love with it,too."

"The owner was friendly and efficient and getting all questions answered promptly. The location is great you are in the Mid-Coast region and can head north to Camden or South. Fabulous view, able to listen to ocean as tides go out and in each day. Sunsets are pretty awesome also. If your looking for quite and peaceful with beautiful view this is defiantly the place for you. We ate at SeaGull Restaurant at Peamquid Point excellent food and great service, views were great too. Reilly grocery is nice and you don't have to go far. Best vacation in a while, hope to be back soon."

"My wife and I enjoyed a beautiful week in this lovely, well stocked cottage on the banks of Round Pond, Maine. Laura's driving directions were perfect and we were pleasantly surprised by what we found on arrival. A well stocked, pretty little cottage in the woods. We shared the cottage with our 30 year old niece for the first two nights and the space was perfect for the three of us.
The grill worked well for our outdoor cooking needs. Our favorite meals out included two excellent meals at Anhor Inn, a delicious lobster to be had at Muscongus Bay Lobster Co., and morning visits with Dot and Joe at Dot's Bakery, all within two miles of this quaint cottage!
We took two trips to the Camden area and enjoye a five-star dining experience at Primo, in Rockland. Day trips included a visit to Damariscotta, a refreshing dip in the Bristol Pond, a bone-chilling swim in the ocean at Pemaquid Beach, the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, and a very fun voyage to Monhegan Island on the Hardy Boat!
We've been travelling to Maine annually, from Wisconsin, for over 30 years to visit family in Portland. Being tourists in Maine is a somewhat new experience for us. Round Pond, it's environs, and most of all this lovely cottage, all contributed to one of our best vacations yet!
The only drawback was the Mosquitos at sunset. But, the cottage was well stocked with repellant! Oh, who is the little old lady that walks down the hill on the property for her daily swim in the ocean?"
