"Having spent all of my childhood summers in Boothbay Harbor, Maine in a rustic log cabin also built in the 1920s, my idea of the PERFECT Maine visit was absolutely exceeded and changed forever! My wife and I fell head over heels for this romantically situated rustic and charming oasis. The owner, Peter, is a new wonderful friend and we're already planning our return next year. If you are a wood burning fireplace aficionado like me, you are in for a treat! Every amenity is provided, individual heat radiators in the bedrooms and bathroom, FIRE WOOD, a fully stocked large kitchen and the outside front porch view that will mesmerize you to complete serenity. There's even a gorgeous sitting area a few yards from the cabin with Adirondack style seating and a fire pit to enjoy beautiful sunsets over the bay. There is so much to explore in the area, but we found ourselves more and more wanting to just stay in and savor every moment of this beautiful property. I've revisited the Boothbay region dozens of times over the last 20 years, and even rented near my old cabin from my childhood. This experience was, hands down, my absolute favorite Maine vacation in my life thus far. Put this beautiful cabin visit on your bucket list!
We can't wait to return."

"After visiting Maine many years ago, we wanted to rent a house on the coast and stay a bit longer this time. This house was perfect......secluded on over 3 acres, yet only 10 min. from Tenant's Harbor and 15 min. to Port Clyde. The sound of the ocean waves lapping the rocks on shore was what I fell asleep to every night and awoke to every morning. This house was perfect for just the two of us, but would probably be fine for a small family, too. The pictures show exactly what the house looks like. Morning sunrises were beautiful on the deck. Rockland is the nearest "big town" with some nice restaurants and shops, but about a 20 min. drive away. We chose to dine locally in Tenant's harbor and Port Clyde and bought fish (at Jesse's Market in Rockland) to cook on our own. The added bonus for us was the clay tennis court a very short distance away. It was like our own private tennis court, which we used every morning!"

"Our stay in Marc's post and beam was absolutely wonderful. The craftsmanship and detail in his home is much to be admired. The home in on a cul de sac and overlooks a small harbor filled with lobster boats. Close walk to enjoy lobster and seafood delights bringing along your favorite beverages. Close to Damorascotta for dining and strolling and Pemaquid Beach. Route 32 recently paved making for excellent biking. Truly enjoyed stay and will definitely return."

"My Sisters and I picked Maine this year for our annual family get together.I happened upon this house on VRBO and loved it immediately. There are essentially three wings to the house which made it easy for our families to get together but also to spend time separate if needed. There were fresh linens including towels when we arrived. The view from all the windows overlooking the Cove was amazing every day. Our favorite part of the day was watching the tide roll in and out. The house was completely outfitted with dishes, pots and pans, and a grill to give us all the comforts of home. We were conveniently located to everything including sailing, deep sea fishing, wandering art exhibits and state parks. The owners had two Kayaks there which the kids loved using. They even made sure there were life jackets randomly sized for everyone. Mark and Alice took some of us our on their boat for a joyful couple hours. There are several fresh fish/lobster options right down the road. You can stop by the Co-op and purchase fresh lobster from the fisherman or visit the fishing Co-op right outside of town where the local fishermen bring their fish to sell. The owners not only invested to make sure we had a comfortable place to stay, they went out of their way to share the reasons they love the area. Those little known facts about a place you just can't Google such as locations famous for paintings like N.C. Wyeth. My only regret is we had to leave this little bit of paradise to come back home. Great Memories made in the rental and Port Clyde. We will be visiting again soon!"
