"We stayed at this lovely home for a week. We had 4 adults 3 children and 2 dogs and the property had everything we needed and PLENTY of space and comfortable amenities. We were thrilled to find a place that is pet-friendly! We swam, kayaked, clammed at low tide, and paddle boarded off the rocky beach in Atkins Bay. We enjoyed many meals at home - with amazing views from the deck. The kids and dogs enjoyed exploring the terrain and found wild blueberries growing in the backyard. We all slept and hung out very comfortably with room to spare. The climate is fantastic and we enjoyed sleeping with cool breezes coming through the many windows at night. The kids enjoyed downtime watching their favorite shows (cable and wifi easy to connect to). We enjoyed taking walks through the wooded neighborhood. There is ample parking on the property for multiple vehicles and plenty of storage. The property owners go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay and are very easy to get in touch with should you need anything or need to ask for recommendations. There are great restaurants and beaches and convenience shops nearby. Stores: Percy's (postcards and t-shirts) and Bisson's. Restaurants we dined in Spinney's (Phippsburg), The Taste of Maine (Bath), Kelmar's (Boothbay Harbour), the Snack Bar (Small Point), The Five Islands Lobster Co. (Georgetown) - fresh cooked lobsters, BYOB, outdoor dining with gorgeous views- highly recommend!! and Otto's (Portland). Places we visited and highly recommend: Popham Beach State Park- beach pass included with your stay (spacious, pristine beach with treasures galore to be found including sand dollars - climbing on rocky islands at low tide and the clearest ocean I have ever swam in), Fort Popham, Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse (near Portland), LL Bean (Freeport), Boothbay Harbor (quaint with great shops), and Georgetown. Be sure to stop at Shaw's off of Rt 1 in Bath to do your major grocery shopping before you arrive. We highly recommend this property and hope to be back again soon. This is the place to go if you want to relax and create wonderful memories."

"My Family of six, four children ages 20, 18, 14,10 spent a week at Brigham's Cove Cottage and had a great time. The home is located on the ocean and has great views. My kids enjoyed sitting on the dock and looking and playing in the ocean. The home was clean and well maintained. On a normal day we would eat breakfast at the home and then drive for 20 minutes to Popham Beach State Park. The beach there is great! We would drive back to the house around 3pm to freshen up and then drive about 10 minutes to Bath where there are lots of great places to eat. We drove to Freeport to visit LLbean which was about 45 minutes away. The pictures on the web site are what you get. There is a room with a TV and lots of DVD's which the kids used the one day it rained. The internet wifi was fast in the house. The kitchen was well supplied. My family had a great time and we hope to come again next year."

"This getaway is absolutely perfect! My husband and I have camped at Hermit Island for the last 22 years, but due to injuries have decided to try something different. Knowing he would miss striper fishing from his kayak and the sound of the waves I went online to find a little peace of heaven with the same feel. I can't recommend this rental enough, although I almost hate to as we would love to stay for several weeks next summer! The cottage has a comfy bed, shower, living room, kitchen , deck and grill. The beach is just steps away with easy trails to find secluded spots to spend an afternoon reading or just listening to the sounds of the ocean. Bill, the caretaker, and his family were so welcoming. His daughter makes and sells beautiful sea glass magnets that are memorable treasures. We can't wait to go back."

"My husband and and I have vacationed in phippsburg many times....from camping at Hermit Island to the Lighthouse at Sebasco Resort. This was the first year we rented a house and we were so glad we did! The house is beautiful, clean, well maintained and stocked. I surprised myself and cooked more than anticipated because the induction cooktop was so much fun. I'm usually kind of skeeved at using dishes, glassware, walking barefoot, etc. in a strange place but this house was so clean, I didn't feel any of that.
We had fun paddling around in our rented two person kayak all week. The water is like glass in the morning and evening. There are schools of tiny fish that jump out of the water and with a kayak you can glide right through them!
Things that surprised me about the house compared to the website.....it's on a very private road with 3 houses on it. The road is kind of steep but definitely doable. The shower is strange...probably the least desirable feature of the house. Jim says they're thinking of putting in an outdoors shower, which would be great. Nothing like a little outdoor nudity to make a vacation interesting!
My suggestion would be to enhance the deck to compliment the beautiful view and make it a nice place to sit in the evening.
All in all, would definitely return to this lovely home for another vacation."
