"What a special place! We rented Branch Haven at the end of June for a week and are STILL talking about how amazing the week was (even with all the mosquitoes!). Here is our low-down...
The house: Tons of space for sleeping, very clean, open common area, great deck, modern amenities. The pool was chilly (June!), but tons warmer than the ocean and right at the house!! Kids loved it!
The location: Perfect for feeling like you are secluded enough to be away from it all, yet super close to beaches, only 20 minutes from downtown Bath. Sunsets were gorgeous and it was so fun to watch the lobster boats head out and come back in right from the deck.
The owners: So easy to work with and so enthusiastic. So very professional yet so warm - a wonderful combination!
We cannot wait to return to Branch Haven. It truly is a beautiful home and we have wonderful memories from our family vacation."

shabby-chic coastal cottage loaded with amenities and close to Maine's best!
"This adorable cottage was full of charm and was vibrantly decorated with unique coastal antiques and finds. There was plenty of space for the whole family to get comfortable, both inside and out... I really enjoyed the small sun porch first thing in the morning. We slept very well on their comfortable mattresses and with Maine's cool August's nights. We put up our own screen house so we were able to enjoy the peaceful pond view at breakfast and dinner time free of mosquitoes (although they weren't that bad without it.) The cottage even had a grill and a large portable fire pit available for outdoor fires. The mud room was perfect place to store all of our beach and hiking gear. There was a shed where we were able to lock up our bikes, as well. The cottage was shocked with the amenities of home that make vacationing in a cottage enjoyable and convenient: dishwasher, linens, towels, iron, small TV, games and more! The washer and dryer were VERY useful, too! They thought of it all!
The location was close to so many sights and activities. We enjoyed taking morning hikes on local nature trails, scenic bike rides and going to Totman Cove right down the street. What a great little secluded beach that was perfect for young children and dogs. In the afternoons we would head to the beautiful Popham Beach, which is free with the Maine State Park pass they provided. The owners provided a wonderful welcome packet and there are guides, brochures and maps at the cottage for those looking for some ideas of where and what to do in the area and beyond.
This area is very special and can create many wonderful family memories. My family has been vacationing on this peninsula every summer since I was a baby. Now, my husband, toddler, dog and I have ventured out to find a cottage that fits our family's needs and wants.... we found it here! We are looking forward to vacationing here for the years to come and making our own wonderful Maine memories!"

"My husband and and I have vacationed in phippsburg many times....from camping at Hermit Island to the Lighthouse at Sebasco Resort. This was the first year we rented a house and we were so glad we did! The house is beautiful, clean, well maintained and stocked. I surprised myself and cooked more than anticipated because the induction cooktop was so much fun. I'm usually kind of skeeved at using dishes, glassware, walking barefoot, etc. in a strange place but this house was so clean, I didn't feel any of that.
We had fun paddling around in our rented two person kayak all week. The water is like glass in the morning and evening. There are schools of tiny fish that jump out of the water and with a kayak you can glide right through them!
Things that surprised me about the house compared to the website.....it's on a very private road with 3 houses on it. The road is kind of steep but definitely doable. The shower is strange...probably the least desirable feature of the house. Jim says they're thinking of putting in an outdoors shower, which would be great. Nothing like a little outdoor nudity to make a vacation interesting!
My suggestion would be to enhance the deck to compliment the beautiful view and make it a nice place to sit in the evening.
All in all, would definitely return to this lovely home for another vacation."

"As a single mom, I knew I needed to get away for a weekend while I had the chance. Linda could not have been more responsive via initial email communications nor more accommodating. She quickly responded to each and every question I had.
The property is clean and cared for and situated in the most lovely of locations. I spent most of my time just gazing at boats passing by, or at mama ducks teaching their babies to swim in a line. My dog and I took a trip to a nearby pet friendly beach, upon Linda's suggestion, and it too was idyllic and just perfect.
Linda makes sure that everything you could possibly need is on hand, including cozy electric blankets for chilly evenings, car passes/decals to park at local beaches/state parks, and even a binder filled with answers to every question you didn't even know you had about the property and the area.
I can't wait until my babysitter again offers to take my kids for a whole weekend so I can return!"
