  • A Wonderful Week to Remember!

"We were extremely pleased with our stay at the Buttercup cottage! Clean, comfortable and roomy with an outdoor deck overlooking beautiful Linekin Bay. Plenty of linens, kitchen utensils, pans etc made our stay quite comfortable. We picked up lobsters/steamers from the local fish pier on two nights and had everything we needed to cook them at the cottage and enjoyed our feast while sitting on the deck! The bed was quite comfortable. Although there is no A/C, we enjoyed the cool breezes off the bay in the evening. There are two fans available if you should need them. We brought our kayak and were able to bring it across the street to Barrett's Park and kayak all around the bay. The cottage is within walking distance to town, maybe a 10-15 walk. The owners couldn't be nicer and were happy to point out all the great local places to visit. Their recommendations for dining were spot on! We had a wonderful week exploring Boothbay Harbor, New Harbor, a day at Monhegan Island, kayaking to Burnt Island light house, Maine's Botanical Garden and the many hiking preserves with well marked trails nearby. Don't forget to go to Wiscasset and lunch at Red's Eats. An awesome lobster roll experience!! The lines start early, be prepared. Buttercup had all the comforts of home. The eclectic decor was fascinating and tastefully thought out and displayed. Each day, I'd notice something that hadn't caught my eye previously. We would highly recommend a stay at Buttercup. We look forward to a return visit in the future. There's still much more exploring of Maine's mid coast to do."

  • Lovely condo

"My husband and I stayed in this lovely condo in October of this year and we were very comfortable and able to relax after our days exploring the area. It felt like home! The condo has more than the usual amenities usually found in a vacation rental. There were extra towels, paper products, kitchen supplies, and laundry items. I'm very fussy about the cleanliness of places we stay, and this home was spotlessly clean. The view from the deck was gorgeous with the trees showing their beautiful fall colors. It was very quiet in the condo. Many thanks to the Healy's for their quick response to questions and for making their home available for us to use while visiting Maine. We also appreciated the welcome note and bottle of wine. We loved the condo and hope to visit again in the future."

  • Beautiful carriage house, amazing setting

"This rental is really special. We loved everything about the property – so much care was taken with the landscaping and the outdoor seating and the beautiful vistas – there was literally something new to discover around every corner. It made me happy every time I turned into the driveway to know what was awaiting us. It's really hard to describe how lovely the property is but trust me... The Boothbay region is a fun place to explore – if you have kids, DO NOT MISS the Maine Coastal Botanical Garden, which is right around the corner from Arden. We spent most of the day there and had we known they had kayaking, we might have spent even longer. There is also a small little aquarium just down the road - small as in one room - but good for an hour or so of fun for the kids. The upstairs unit was really comfortable with everything you’ll need. It was spotlessly clean (something I don’t always find in VRBO rentals), the kitchen was fully stocked, the bed was comfortable and there was a fireplace and TV/DVD player for the occasional rainy day. The washer/dryer unit was nice to have as well. This is by far the best all-around VRBO rental we've had in Maine; I'd love to return. Thank you!"

  • Wonderful Stay!!

"This is our second return to Juuta's Place! And like last year, we had a wonderful time! We came when it was very very cold, almost blizzard conditions, but the road was perfect! Our dogs felt right at home, relaxed and love walking in all the snow! The fire place was great! We were able to share with some friends that live close by. Location is just where we like to stay, close to shops and stores, but far enough away that you can enjoy the beauty of the house, even in the winter! We will return next year! Thank you Trixie and Lynn"
