"This is a great cottage to really enjoy your Maine experience. Fully-stocked in a thoughtful way, everything is waiting for you upon arrival! There's fresh firewood by the fireplace, a hairdryer in the bedroom and binoculars waiting by the door. Janet is responsive and really seems to anticipate what someone could need to enjoy their stay. The screened porch and back deck are wonderful spots for meals, reading books or watching the sunset. The cabin is close to New Harbor for shopping, groceries and meals, and it's within walking distance of the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse for picturesque views and history. Check out Maine Kayaking for day adventures, and the Pemaquid Lobster Coop for delicious food and a gorgeous view. We can't say enough good things about the cottage and experience--and thanks for making it a welcoming place for our dog!"

"My wife and two college/high school-age sons spent a beautiful relaxing week. My favorite activity: sit on the porch with a good book and the gorgeous views of the bay and out to the ocean -- sometimes busy but not disturbing with lobsterman and other boats, plus ducks and osprey diving for fish out front, couple of seals out in the harbor, and what I think was a mink or otter late one afternoon. The photos are accurate, it's truly beautiful. Kitchen is a bit rustic, again as advertised, but everything works and it's fully stocked with all the kitchen gear you need. Upstairs bedrooms also rustic but charming and clean. Towels/linens provided and plentiful. We enjoyed easy day trips to Freeport for LL Bean and Rockland to see friends -- and Red's in Wiscasset is a must for lobster roll and fried clams (standing in line is half the fun). Best meal on Southport: Newagen Seaside Inn -- and Robinson's Wharf is good for lobster -- both no more than 5 minutes from the house. The landlord was very accessible and helpful, no problems at all. Still dreaming of the view off the porch while sweltering in DC writing this!"

"The Port Clyde house is great. It was a reasonable size and layout for two people and our somewhat mobility challenged dogs. The view from the living room was amazing... We could have sat and ocean/boat/wildlife/people watched for the entire week and been thrilled... But there are some nifty sites so close by that even our older pup got to sightsee.
The house is comfortable, cheery and bright. There is cable and internet, but honestly, if you are watching television instead of looking out that window, you are so missing out. Herons, cormorants, osprey, eider ducks with fifty billion ducklings, eagles, woodcocks, and a white tailed deer all made an appearance in the yard in the week we visited. Just a fantastic location and a wonderfully homey place. Would recommend this place highly (just save us a spot!)
Laundry on site was also a wonderful amenity, as coastal Maine in early June means bringing days worth of both summer and winter clothes and still finding you didn't quite bring enough of the right type of either.
Awesome place, awesome owners."

"We loved this little cottage! My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect little get away! We were a short drive away from Camden and Boothbay Harbor for good day trips, but the rest of the time we could just relax and listen to the waves. Great views of the ocean!"
