Recent Mid-Coast & Islands reviews

  • excellent house mid-coast Maine

"House is private, in a quiet spot, nearly new inside, well-maintained, has great light, and was nicely appointed. Gas stove and decent cooking gear a real plus. Nice variety of decks & spaces. OK wireless. Great location for general mid-coast Maine activities. Near oodles of kayaking & hiking, not even counting the ocean. We are pretty low-maintenance so didn't ask much from owners, but they seemed very nice. Minor negatives: no dressers/bureaus for clothes in Master Bedroom. Bed not the greatest - too squishy & had troughs."

  • Peaceful

"What a wonderful way to spend downtime with the family. We typically stay pretty busy on vacation and everyone was content to just hang out this time. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the cottage and views. The cottage was homey with the stone fireplace and comfortable furniture. It was great to have the windows open to enjoy the breeze and sounds of the wave. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us (and thanks for the reminder of the bonfire on the rocks). I hope to return in the future."

  • Wonderful week in Maine!

"One of our best Maine vacations was just spent in Lincolnville Beach. The apartment was comfortable, clean and had a kitchen stocked with everything we needed. With four restaurants within walking distance we had lots of food choices. Every morning we watched the sunrise on the bay from the large living room window-or by enjoying morning coffee on the benches at the public beach across the street. Days were packed full of site seeing at Acadia National Park, nearby Camden, miles of antiquing and shopping and a day trip to Reid State Park. Top it all off with a week of perfect weather and we had such trouble leaving for home!"

  • Hope Camp - what a beautiful spot!

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed are week stay at Hope Camp. The camp is equipped with all the conviences of home. It is very private and we thoroughly enjoyed the wildlife - deer, numerious bird sightings (No turkeys though). The nightly fire fly displays were spectacular as we sat around the camp fire pit. Very quiet and private. Hope to visit again."
