  • A beautiful spot to vacation!

"Me, my boyfriend & our two dogs really enjoyed our time here! We spent each day hiking the local land trust trails-there were so many that we sometimes hiked two per day & we never repeated a trail! The trails & views were gorgeous. We took a few day trips to neighboring towns & never traveled more than 60 minutes. Reed State Park was worth the 60 minute drive with bike trails & two gorgeous beaches. We rented kayaks in Southport & rode out to an island. So much fun. We are outdoor enthusiasts & we found that we had a lot to do in Boothbay & Barters Island. I really appreciate the kind owners who were 100% supportive of our having a wonderful time in their home. Also, the home was well kept, comfortable & felt secluded being the last home on a dead-end street. It was perfect for me & the dogs! I would recommend anyone stay here as it was really awesome."

  • Beautiful and Relaxing

"My husband and I just finished a week's stay at this lovely South Thomaston home and couldn't be more pleased with our experience. The home is located directly on the Weskeag River providing a beautiful view from the back deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee, or from the chairs near the river bank in the evening sipping a glass of wine. We made use of the easy river access for kayaking once we got used to the tides. A well-equipped kitchen came in handy for a lobster dinner one night, and as a whole, we enjoyed the quiet comfort of the home. Many thanks to Jon & Kate for their thorough assistance in getting us settled in with details about everything upon our arrival -- and for their patience, as our flight was delayed, so we were later than expected. The home is in a terrific location: Rockland is a short drive away, so during our stay we visited the Farnsworth, had lunch at Cafe Miranda, and a fabulous sushi dinner at Suzuki's. A bit farther up Hwy 1 in Rockport, we enjoyed meals at Shepherd's Pie, then Natalie's near Camden. Although we didn't eat at Primo this trip, it's a short trip north on Rte 73 and delicious! We enjoyed both Owl's Head and Marshall Point Lighthouses on our visit, taking time to hike around Owl's Head during low tide, and returning for the sunset because it's such a short drive from the house. I could go on and on, but think I've made my point -- a truly lovely place to stay!"

  • Family Get Away

"We had such a wonderful time. Our grandchildren were able to enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from this quiet and quaint cottage. A perfect place for us grandparents to rest and relax and for the parents to retreat after a full day of fun around the island. This was an unforgettable vacation and I hope we will be able to do it again very soon. There is no place better to visit than North Haven."

  • Water Front, Light Filled, Beautiful Home

"We truly enjoyed our stay at this color-filled home and hope to return again. There are beautiful ocean views from each of the bedrooms as well as the large, flower-filled deck and the living room and the kitchen. This house has a very soothing feeling with the backdrop of the waves lulling you to sleep. The house is filled with light and decorated in an artsy Maine style making it feel as if it is filled with love. The beds are all comfortable and the house is amazingly clean. The yard is filled with all sorts of blooming bushes and flowers making it hard to even want to leave the property. The approximately two mile loop around the area makes for a peaceful walk as well. The house feels secluded given the fact that it is surrounded by trees yet it is only about ten minutes from Boothbay. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat with beautiful ocean views and the sound of the waves breaking, yet close to Boothbay, I highly recommend this property."
