"My husband and I stayed at this great house from late September into early December 2014. We wanted a warm, inviting house to have an empty nest experience and watch the fall colors wash over Maine. Our time here was really terrific and this house fulfilled our wishes. We had guests sprinkled throughout our stay and there was always plenty of room and everyone exclaimed how comfortable the beds were.
The kitchen is amazing and incredibly well appointed. If you need it, it's in there! A Viking Stove and butcher block countertops made cooking Thanksgiving dinner with visiting family members truly joyous. We invited new Camden friends to dinner and ended up hosting dinner for 16 people, and we all fit (snugly) in the dining/kitchen area. It felt like home....but better!
The location cannot be beat! Walk into town easily for tasty dinners, fun shopping, a really great library or to stroll through the harbor. Walk a block in the opposite direction and you're at Laite Beach and park where you can have fun with kids and dogs, or enjoy a glass of wine while watching the evening sun change the color of the water.
Any issue we had was quickly and cheerfully attended to by Kate. We would be delighted to stay here again!
The only people who I would not recommend this house to is someone who is unable to navigate stairs. There is not a downstairs bedroom, though in a pinch, they could sleep on the couch because there is a downstairs bathroom."

"Our great experience started right with our initial contact. Kirsten was extremely helpful, very quick to reply and she answered every question completely (and we had a lot of them). Upon arrival we were met by Becky who made sure we had everything we needed. The personal touch was very much appreciated.
The cottage far exceeded our expectations, it was clean, well cared for and very well appointed with all the things you would ever need. The view out of the back either on the boat shaped deck or direct from the living room or kitchen table was breath taking. We could watch the seals frolic on the rocks in the Damariscotta River day or night and this became one of our favorite things to do.
The location for us worked out perfectly it was about 60 miles to Portland and about a 2 1/2 hour drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. There was a lot to do - from exploring the Pemaquid lighthouse to getting the freshest Loster cooked for you so you could bring it home to enjoy at Osiers Co-op (we went twice while we were there) we had great time in Maine and we loved staying at Becky and Kirsten's cottage. We highly recommend staying here if you can get a reservation. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have stayed there and met some very nice people along the way!"

"I am going to sum this up. Breathtaking, beautiful location on Swanlake. Unexpected stocked home with everything to offer! We felt completely at home and did not want to leave. The views throughout the home were endless. Rain or Shine, we had an amazing time. Coming from a family who is all about palm trees and blue oceans, we are looking to come back again this summer. The most relaxing fun week. We fished everyday catching an array of different types of fish off the canoe and kayaks and directly off the beach. We didn't leave the house for one day except to go to the gun range. The weather was perfect although it rained 2 days out of 6, we still found comfort inside with the stocked kitchen appliances fireplace and views. The house is maintained with every amenity. The grounds are beautiful with flowers, sandy beach, fresh decking and a hose outside to rinse off before entering the home. The owners are sweet and allowed us to stay 2 extra days. I love the fact we were able to use the washer and dryer before we left. I cant say enough it was fantastic!"

"The house was comfortable for 4 adults and 4 children. We really enjoyed the large deck area and yard. The location was easy access to a put-in for paddle boards and kayaks. Easy trip to Rockland and Camden. We enjoyed walking to the small grocery store and biking to Drift In Beach. St. George/Tenants Harbor/Port Clyde are lovely."
