"We spent 2 weeks in this beautiful house and loved it. The house was just comfortable and the view from the decks were lovely. Every night the sunsets were different and watching the tide rising and falling was so relaxing. Lobster shacks were many and very close, we ate our share of lobster, pie and ice cream. We took several short trip and day trips and it never felt like we had to go very far to find things to do. We hope to visit Maine again and this is the only place I would choose to stay."

  • Serene cottage close to everything

"We enjoyed staying in this comfortable, spacious cottage complete with our own laundry, cook's kitchen, free wifi and relaxing decks. Within walking distance to Sprucewold beach and dog-friendly, kayak and paddle board-friendly Barrett park, this home is wonderful for active families or adults who enjoy running, biking, or walking along the picturesque roads down to the beach or harbor. Bike riding the hills under majestic tall pines will also create an appetite to enjoy the lobster at nearby pounds and restaurants. House comes with it's own lobster pot and utensils, too! If you would just like to relax, you can do it here, too. Boothbay Harbor's walkway is a quick bike ride or car ride away. Owners were excellent which made for a relaxing Maine vacation. Bringing the pooch was a plus, too."

"The property is a wonderful old house, that the owner has made feel like a home with comfortable furnishings and her own, very good, artwork. It is an easy walk to downtown Rockland and its attractions - good restaurants, the Farnsworth, art galleries, tourist shops, and the sights and sounds of the harbor. There is a full bath and a 3/4 bath on the second floor and 3 bedrooms. So there is good space for a family of 3 or 4 or a visiting couple. The photos fairly portray the property. We gave this a 5 star rating, but the property could be improved with some small upgrades. The house is shaded by some magnificent maples and has a pretty welcoming flower garden. At the rear is a work shed and storage area. Even though the house is venerable it was very comfortable and seemed well sealed. The laundry was well equipped and worked great. The kitchen was adequate, but those who are there for a longer stay may want to check with the owner about kitchen contents and needs. The owner was a gem, as well as her daughter, who welcomed us on day 1. We would recommend the property to active seniors, couples with or without children, but not for mobility impaired or very small children. It's central location was exactly what we wanted. . Don't miss the Olsen Farm, the area lighthouses especially Pemaquid, and some of the hiking in the Camden hills. Above all if you have more than a few days - ship out to Monhegan. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean and safe place to stay in the Camden/Rockland area, that is walkable to many attractions, and has a great owner, the property should be on your list."

  • Love all the Updates

"I just loved the new bedroom linen updates. The Master bedroom transformation was so beautiful. I loved the single bedroom too! The kicker were the two ceiling fans, one in the Master and one in the kitchen. I didn't get to use the grill this time but that is great addition for next time."
