  • The Studio Is The Best Rental

"The Studio was a wonderful place to stay. The listing's description and photos really did accurately reflect the home's appearance and amenities. My top priority was to find a pet friendly rental, which it is, but when I saw the picture of the ocean view from the deck I was sold. The ocean was so pretty and the sunrise was so spectacular. And there were so many stars at night, they were all so big and bright. There are no stars like that in Ohio. There was a restaurant nearby called the Five Mile Harbor which had fresh lobster and other fish. I would recommend this one for sure. You can also watch the fishermen bring in their catch for the day. There was also a beach to go to at Reid Park where we walked the dogs. Also nearby was a small grocery store and a pottery store called Georgetown Pottery (where I spent too much money). I would highly recommend this rental. We were there the first week in October and had beautiful weather, in the 70's all week and no rain."

  • Just what we were looking for!

"The house and property was exactly as described. There was plenty room for all of us, my husband and myself, our four adult kids and their spouses, girlfriends, as well as our granddaughter and a close family friend. We fished, and hiked, and biked, and walked, and toured Pemaquid lighthouse. We cooked and ate, and sat by the fire, both outside and in. We slept in cozy beds at night, and shared a huge lobster feast together around the huge dining table. We can't wait to go back and do it again! What a beautiful spot!!"

  • shabby-chic coastal cottage loaded with amenities and close to Maine's best!

"This adorable cottage was full of charm and was vibrantly decorated with unique coastal antiques and finds. There was plenty of space for the whole family to get comfortable, both inside and out... I really enjoyed the small sun porch first thing in the morning. We slept very well on their comfortable mattresses and with Maine's cool August's nights. We put up our own screen house so we were able to enjoy the peaceful pond view at breakfast and dinner time free of mosquitoes (although they weren't that bad without it.) The cottage even had a grill and a large portable fire pit available for outdoor fires. The mud room was perfect place to store all of our beach and hiking gear. There was a shed where we were able to lock up our bikes, as well. The cottage was shocked with the amenities of home that make vacationing in a cottage enjoyable and convenient: dishwasher, linens, towels, iron, small TV, games and more! The washer and dryer were VERY useful, too! They thought of it all! The location was close to so many sights and activities. We enjoyed taking morning hikes on local nature trails, scenic bike rides and going to Totman Cove right down the street. What a great little secluded beach that was perfect for young children and dogs. In the afternoons we would head to the beautiful Popham Beach, which is free with the Maine State Park pass they provided. The owners provided a wonderful welcome packet and there are guides, brochures and maps at the cottage for those looking for some ideas of where and what to do in the area and beyond. This area is very special and can create many wonderful family memories. My family has been vacationing on this peninsula every summer since I was a baby. Now, my husband, toddler, dog and I have ventured out to find a cottage that fits our family's needs and wants.... we found it here! We are looking forward to vacationing here for the years to come and making our own wonderful Maine memories!"
