"Upon entering the Starboard Cabin, we were immediately entranced with the beauty and comfort of our surroundings. The decor was impeccable, yet offered the warmth and comfort of home. The complimentary basket of goodies was the extra added touch that ensured perfection. Peace and serenity engulfed us as we sat on the deck overlooking the harbor's beauty. The location was superb in offering us so many options within walking distance, although we didn't even have to leave the coziness of the cabin to enjoy our vacation. The owners were delightful and extremely gracious hosts. We are looking forward to a return trip to the Starboard Cabin in the near future. It was truly a "little piece of Heaven"...."

"I have stayed at the Spruce Lane Cottage with my family and friends for many years now and look forward to my return. The cottage is on hill in a clearing that offers stargazing at night and wonderful sunshine during the day. Every year an upgrade is made to the cottage making it comfortable, updated and clean. The wrap around porch presents and ideal setting for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. The upstairs allows the teenagers to have their own area for play, sleep and late night activity while the adults can have time on their own downstairs. Great location in Maine for jumping off on day trips and far enough from southern Maine to give you a real feel of the coast of Maine. Two nice small villages are nearby as well as some fantastic dinning."

"This little getaway was wonderful for my small family of 4. The pictures are exactly what you get. In fact, the place is actually much better than the pictures. My favorite spot was looking out the picture window watching my 2 boys play while I was relaxing or making something for dinner. Their favorite place was down along the beach collecting shells, lobster claws, sea glass. The location and being on the water with your own almost private beach was the true highlight. The house was very nice and well stocked. We were definitely comfortable. It was also nice to be able to walk over to the store for whatever we needed or to walk for ice cream. Great place and great location. Highly recommended for all ages. The owners were very easily to get a hold of and friendly."

"We recently spent a week in this most-beautiful home and setting. With one strong exception - see below - the house was as advertised and more. The kitchen had everything you could possibly want, including coffee grinders, juicers, and even a bread maker. The house itself was large enough to acomodate the eight we had, and the fenced-in yard was perfect for dogs. There was a good gate at the top of the stairs to prevent the toddler and dogs from going down. We felt totally comfortable and welcome and would highly recommend it.
However, this is not a house for the mobility impaired, and is most definitely not wheelchair accessible. The first problem is a moderately sloped walkway from parking area to house, which was covered with shells. The path is beautiful but very treacherous and exhausting for the person on a walker; she wound up leaving the house only once the week we were there. In addition the master bedroom and bath were big and modern but the bathroom had no grab bars, making toileting and showering difficult and hazardous.
A suggestion to the owners: put a door outside the second bedroom. Since the only way to ensure privacy in that bedroom is to close the door at the kitchen, this effectively removed the bathroom from general use. Two people used that bathroom, and everyone else went to the basement."
