  • Wonderful!

"We vacationed for years in the Bath/Brunswick area, so we were a little apprehensive about staying in Tenant’s Harbor. Let me say, we were not disappointed. The house was perfect for our family, very clean and well-maintained. We were able to spread out with room to spare! We spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch which accommodated our entire family (11 of us!). Port Clyde, the neighboring village, is small, but quaint. It is very clean and has a pier with comfortable chairs for relaxing while enjoying the surrounding sights and sounds. Just what you expect a tiny fishing village on the coast of Maine to be. The general store has a lot to offer along with a café, which I hope to try next time. The Dip Net, a seafood restaurant directly on the water, is a great place to spend an evening. The food was great, and you just can’t beat the view! The nearby beach (about a mile away), Drift Inn, is wonderful! It’s perfect for adults and children. When the tide is out, there is a wide stretch of sandy beach. It’s a popular spot for paddle boarding and kayaking. We took the harbor cruise from Port Clyde to Monhegan Island. What a nice experience! The nearest big town, Rockland, has a lot to offer, plenty of convenience with grocery stores, etc. The old part of Rockland, Main Street, is great, with lots of shops and restaurants. We ate at The Pearl one night. It’s right on the water, and the food was amazing! Rockport, Camden and Belfast are also a short drive away. All in all, a great place to stay!"

  • Counting the Days

"This spring will be our 3rd trip to Eleanor and Pete's wonderful efficiency apartment. The studio is very clean and neat, it is furnished with everything we have needed for our stays, from kitchen supplies to towels and bed linens, with comfortable beds and sitting area. The studio is located in a beautiful - quiet area, as you are eating breakfast be sure to look out and see the wild turkeys as they take their morning stroll. The deck is the perfect spot to have a lobster bake after you take in the beautiful sunset on Ocean Point. The location is ideal, you could easily spend a week just exploring the beautiful local areas - the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Peninsula, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, and the Maritime Museum in Bath, for starters. Eleanor and Pete are extremely welcoming and helpful with anything you may need to plan your stay, their boat rides and tours have been a highlight of our trips. Our only regret is we did meet Eleanor and Pete and find this lovely place sooner. We are already looking forward to our 2016 visit."

  • Superb

"Very private and pin-drop quiet and, oh ye, there's the VIEW across to Fort Popham amid the glory of vivid fall colors of orange, yellow and red. The property--very light and spacious living areas; 3 bedrooms and 3 baths make privacy a no-brainer; breakfast and evenings on the sun porch watching the tidal exchange was so, so soothing; clean and well appointed; the owner was very responsive and easy to work with; the house was perfect for our needs."

  • Loved This Cottage!

"My family and I really enjoyed the cottage. My kids especially loved that the beach was within walking distance so they could go every day when it was low tide. I would definitely recommend this cottage to any family looking for a quiet, restful beach vacation. We were able to mark "Eating lobster in Maine" off my mom's bucket list! We enjoyed eating at the Black Harpoon, The Happy Clam, Harjula's icecream and the School House Bakery. We bought live lobster from Miller's and they were deee-licious! :) Jeanine was very nice and helpful and worked with us so we could bring my parents' two yorkies with us also."
