"Our great experience started right with our initial contact. Kirsten was extremely helpful, very quick to reply and she answered every question completely (and we had a lot of them). Upon arrival we were met by Becky who made sure we had everything we needed. The personal touch was very much appreciated.
The cottage far exceeded our expectations, it was clean, well cared for and very well appointed with all the things you would ever need. The view out of the back either on the boat shaped deck or direct from the living room or kitchen table was breath taking. We could watch the seals frolic on the rocks in the Damariscotta River day or night and this became one of our favorite things to do.
The location for us worked out perfectly it was about 60 miles to Portland and about a 2 1/2 hour drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. There was a lot to do - from exploring the Pemaquid lighthouse to getting the freshest Loster cooked for you so you could bring it home to enjoy at Osiers Co-op (we went twice while we were there) we had great time in Maine and we loved staying at Becky and Kirsten's cottage. We highly recommend staying here if you can get a reservation. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have stayed there and met some very nice people along the way!"

"We were awestruck with this place! Beautifully decorated with so many special touches that you just felt the warmth of love and family in every room. Very comfortable for us- 6 adults and 2 toddlers. Plenty of room, the home didn't lack for a thing, and it's so spacious and well-constructed with exposed beams, nice windows, big kitchen, dining room, nice bathrooms, sitting rooms, and the grounds are perfect for families with the swings, hammock, and sitting areas---all overlooking the cove. We felt like the luckiest people in the world to find this place!"

"As someone who only rents houses that have a lot of reviews, I assume the reason this house doesn't have even more of them is because people don't want the secret to get out. It's a beautifully-decorated home with gorgeous views from the large patio and huge master bedroom. The other two bedrooms can still hear the waves well with their windows open. It's quiet and private (and has comfortable furniture in the art-filled living room), but close to Boothbay Harbor where you can catch all kinds of sightseeing boats. It's also near Ocean Point, which is stunning, and the East Boothbay General Store, which you'll find yourself going to repeatedly because the food (breakfast, lunch, or gourmet pizza for dinner) is actually great. Can't recommend it enough."

"The location of Plummer Point was really nice. It is in the woods overlooking the river and it is also close to the town of Damariscotta with a huge grocery store, and two days of outside farmer's markets and a farm stand which is open every day for fresh veggies, etc. The house is comfortable both inside and out for reading, watching the lobster boats on the river, watching the many small birds on the feeder as well as the red squirrels and chipmunks checking out the fallen seeds. The screened in porch was nice for dinners outside without the bugs. And for our large group having a dishwasher was terrific. The teenagers loved the lodge for playing cards and being independent from the adults. We hiked the trails right outside our door, used the canoe and kayaks while watching the seals and terns. We found it was easier to launch the boats at high tide rather than haul them over the rocks at low tide. We bought great lobsters at Osiers in South Bristol near the swing bridge and sat on the deck at Coveside overlooking the marina and the osprey in the nest in the daymark which marks the ledge entering Christmas Cove. We explored the Pemaquid peninsula including the Pemaquid Beach, the lighthouse on Pemaquid Point, New Harbor where we took the Hardy boat to Monhegan Island for the day. We also took a Damariscotta River Cruise and learned about oyster farming on the river. This was a great place for an active family as well as for a group that wants to read, relax and commune with nature. It fit our family group of eight perfectly. It has something for everyone."
