"My wife and I stayed at this gorgeous vacation home on Columbus Day weekend. It was so wonderful to get away from the hustle and bustle of greater Boston. Chris was warm and easy to work with allowing us to bring our beloved dog Oscar without hesitation. We went for walks along the main road, had breakfast at the cozy little cafe down the road, and attended the local pumpkin festival. The deck is huge with a picturesque view of the gut, we sat and watched the boats come in an out of the harbor with great peace and delight. There was WIFI, parking for 3 cars, 2 spacious bedrooms, blankets, books, board games, and kayaks for use. We basically had all the amenities of a 5-star hotel with the character and charm of this sleepy and nautical vacation home. South Bristol is a hidden gem and a must see and Chris was more than friendly and accommodating. We will be returning very soon."

"Me, my boyfriend & our two dogs really enjoyed our time here! We spent each day hiking the local land trust trails-there were so many that we sometimes hiked two per day & we never repeated a trail! The trails & views were gorgeous. We took a few day trips to neighboring towns & never traveled more than 60 minutes. Reed State Park was worth the 60 minute drive with bike trails & two gorgeous beaches. We rented kayaks in Southport & rode out to an island. So much fun. We are outdoor enthusiasts & we found that we had a lot to do in Boothbay & Barters Island. I really appreciate the kind owners who were 100% supportive of our having a wonderful time in their home. Also, the home was well kept, comfortable & felt secluded being the last home on a dead-end street. It was perfect for me & the dogs! I would recommend anyone stay here as it was really awesome."

"The home was perfect. The most wonderful view of the river from the deck and all the windows to enjoy the view from indoors too.
We have a large family and this house had room for all. With teens and twenty year olds each wanting their own bed, this accommodated everyone. The home owners had everything we needed to have the best visit.
The central location gave us a chance to do & see a bit of everything around Maine: Pemaquid beach & lighthouse, Waterman's Beach Lobster (our vote for the best lobster roll & Yes... we also ate at Red's), quaint shops in Wiscasset, Boothbay Harbor, Freeport, etc.
This house was a big part of what made the vacation great for us. Thank you so very much for sharing your fantastic home. We had the a relaxing & enjoyable time."
