  • Beautiful and serene!

"This vacation rental is really a 5 stars plus. The home is beautifully situated with panoramic views of a working harbor in Penobscot Bay and is very private. The house has clearly been loved and is newly updated with tasteful and comfortable furnishings, beautiful art work and a well equipped kitchen. We also so appreciated the pet friendly and elder accessible aspects of the house. The owner is a very gracious host and we hope to return."

  • Cottage on the bay

"Our one week stay at this wonderful cabin was enjoyable and we are looking forward to retuning. My family of 5 had plenty of room to spread out and relax while looking at the fabulous views. At night we warmed up around the cast iron fireplace. The location was very convenient to all the coastal towns. South Thomaston was very unique with a small town charm , our favorite stop was the Kegg store were we picked up several delicious meals. The owner went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. Since returning home we have recommened this cottage to family and friends."

  • Amazing peace and quiet

"Suzanne is a gracious and generous host. The cottage is as described and in a quiet area. We were here in October so a lot of the tourists were gone and many places closed for the season but we knew it would be that way going in. Great views, easy access. We would stay again."

  • Pleasant cottage

"My wife and I enjoyed a two week stay in the Maranatha Cottage in late August and early September. The cottage sits behind the larger house that’s also available as a rental from the same owner. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen with a new refrigerator and stove and although there were only two of us, there is ample sleeping space for a larger group. The cottage sits a few dozen feet further back from the water than the main house but there’s a lovely view of the sunrise over the water from the master bedroom window. The two properties sit at the water’s edge at the end of a cul-de-sac so it’s very quiet and peaceful throughout the day. This was a working vacation and we were away each day until evening, so we especially enjoyed sipping a glass of wine on the beach at sunset. While the location feels remote, good restaurants, shopping and services are available a few miles away in Thomaston or Rockland. The excellent Slipway restaurant at the marina in Thomaston should not be missed. We had comfortable and enjoyable stay in the cottage and felt that it was very reasonably priced."
