"We enjoyed staying in this comfortable, spacious cottage complete with our own laundry, cook's kitchen, free wifi and relaxing decks. Within walking distance to Sprucewold beach and dog-friendly, kayak and paddle board-friendly Barrett park, this home is wonderful for active families or adults who enjoy running, biking, or walking along the picturesque roads down to the beach or harbor. Bike riding the hills under majestic tall pines will also create an appetite to enjoy the lobster at nearby pounds and restaurants. House comes with it's own lobster pot and utensils, too! If you would just like to relax, you can do it here, too. Boothbay Harbor's walkway is a quick bike ride or car ride away. Owners were excellent which made for a relaxing Maine vacation. Bringing the pooch was a plus, too."

"This condo was as described. Some of the photos may be blurry, but they showed the rooms accurately. The condo was very comfortable. It had everything we needed. Most important to me is it was very clean. The view of the harbor was fantastic! I loved the location. We could walk everywhere, to the shops, restaurants and the foot bridge! Paula was very helpful when I called her. She told us about a lobster pound down the road. We cooked lobsters two nights and ate them on the deck overlooking the harbor. I wish we could of stayed for a second week! This was a perfect place, I highly recommend this condo. We had a great week. Thank you Paula!"

"We stayed at the Stone’s Throw Cottage for four days while celebrating our anniversary. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway. The natural and architectural beauty of the property cannot be measured. Stone’s Throw is the perfect blend of simplicity and elegance. While the photos and the description are accurate, what you find once you get there is that there’s so much more to the property. The cottage is nestled into the edge of the woods which provides a sense of privacy for guests in the cottage. The soft fragrant smells of the flowers and spruce trees surrounding the cottage will have your senses reeling. In the evenings, we opened the windows to let the cool air in; and even though it was dark outside and the living room was gently lit (lights are on dimmers, by the way!) our privacy was protected by the forest. It felt like home for us. The interior of the cottage is immaculate and beautifully decorated, right down to the linens. Josh is a wonderful host; and as it turns out he’s a handy guy to have around when you’re in a pinch. While we were talking with Josh outside the cottage, I discovered that we were late for a sailing charter. Josh graciously insisted that we jump into his truck and he’d “get us to the church on time”… and he did! We were at the dock in only a couple of minutes. Thanks again, Josh!
If you’re looking for something cozy and private, yet close enough to walk to town, then this is the place to stay. From the cottage, you can walk to the ocean in less than 5 minutes…. You’ll be in the heart of Camden in 10. Parking in town can sometimes be a little difficult. There are a lot of folks who drive in to Camden for the day to see the sights, so having everything you need within walking distance from the cottage is a blessing. A grocery store and a pharmacy in town will have everything you need to provision your pantry during your stay, don’t worry. Restaurants, shops, sailing… everything’s just a “Stone’s Throw” away! (you see what I did there?) If you’re into hiking, bring your gear. Camden Hills State Park is about 2.5 miles north from the cottage and has 30 miles of hiking trails through some of the most beautiful wilderness you’ll ever see.
Not only do we recommend staying at Stone’s Throw, I can assure you… we’ll be back (hopefully) soon!

"I just loved the new bedroom linen updates. The Master bedroom transformation was so beautiful. I loved the single bedroom too! The kicker were the two ceiling fans, one in the Master and one in the kitchen. I didn't get to use the grill this time but that is great addition for next time."
