  • The perfect choice

"The cottage has all the amenities one could want without sacrificing its coastal charm. It's a very short drive to downtown Searsport, close to beautiful state parks, museums, antique shops and fresh seafood. The cottage provides easy access to the beach, fantastic views, a deck great for catching rays, grilling or just watching the tide roll in. Very clean, with comfortable beds, nice linens and enough hot water for everyone. The pictures don't lie. We have used VRBO to stay across the country, and always had a positive experience. But we've never had a more friendly and accommodating host working with us than Nancy. Her thoughtfulness and consideration made our trip even better. It's not a question of if we will be back, just a matter of when."

  • Awesome!

"We loved the house. It was just perfect for the four of us and gave us the tranquility we were all looking for. The kitchen was set up very nicely and the views were absolutely gorgeous from many areas of the home. The queen mattress was a little too soft for my comfort but I moved into the tower room that was incredible especially at night looking out at the stars and the cove at the same time. Would go again in a heartbeat. Maybe next year, I hope. Wonderful walking trails. Very impressive!!!"

  • Perfect!

"This was the perfect home away from home for us. We had a great time exploring Camden, hiking, kayaking and enjoying the harbor. It was wonderful to have this very comfortable, private, adorable loft to return to. The location is great as it sits in a lovely Camden neighborhood close to everything. Lee and Kim are wonderful hosts making sure you have everything you need. Lee even treated us to a sail on Penobscot Bay a highlight of our trip! Would go back in a heart beat!"

  • Fantastic location and friendly, responsive owner

"Months before I arrived at the cottage, I was really pleased with how responsive Ken was to all my emails and questions. He gladly sent additional photos to me and always responded very quickly to emails. There are two cottages that are identical, but they are far away enough from each other that they're still very private. I'm really picky about this and I was very happy with how secluded the cottage felt! I really enjoyed how surrounded by trees and high above the pond the cottage was — it made me feel like I was up in a treehouse. You can enjoy the glimmering lake while sitting on the deck and never be too hot because there's always a great breeze and abundant shade. The property is beautiful and the pond is perfect for swimming. It was also very quiet with hardly any motor boats when we were there. It was great that a two person kayak and canoe were included, since bringing your own down to the dock would be very difficult. The cottage is in a very private and quiet location (dead end gravel fire road) but still within ten minutes of markets and main roads. The location is phenomenal because of its proximity to the ocean and lots of great restaurants and places to explore. Some recommendations: Savage Oakes Winery - great blueberry wines! Sweetgrass Winery + Distillery - great selection of fruit wines (peach, blueberry, and rhubarb port wines) and incredible view. Great area to drive around and photograph. Rising Tide Co-Op - great for people who like organic and vegan options (they also have awesome freshly baked muffins!) Anchor Inn Restaurant - great grilled seafood and ocean view, plus it's only 15 minutes from the cottage! Primo Restaurant - Worth the drive and it might be the best meal you've ever had. It's definitely a special occasion restaurant because it's not cheap, but it's the ultimate farm to table dining experience there is. They won James Beard Award for best restaurant in New England... can't beat that! Thank you Ken and Becca for sharing your cottage with us!"
