"We rented this home for a month and really hated to leave. It's was a wonderful time enjoying the pool in the afternoon and the deck in the evening overlooking the bay. The home has plenty of room and is well equipped with all you will need. Nat was a wonderful man to work with and goes out of his way to accommodate you. Searsport is a small, friendly town that is just the right location from Camden and Bar Harbor as well as a 40 minute drive to Bangor if necessary. We look forward to returning shortly."Guest: Florida Travelers Date of Stay: August 2012 Review Submitted: September 25, 2012View listing
"We enjoyed the cabin very much. The location on the lake was fabulous and extremely relaxing. Many evenings were spent listening to loons and playing cards. There were only two draw backs - the kitchen was tiny and the beam leading into the cabin/sunroom was quite low (6 ft) and was the cause of a great deal of head trauma."Guest: none Date of Stay: August 2013 Review Submitted: August 22, 2013View listing
"Four friends from Texas enjoyed this extraordinary home that exceeded our expectations in every way. The home is extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hosts were helpful and went above and beyond to provide a warm and well-equipped property. The setting and views are incredible - you can see and hear the water from most of the rooms in the house, and the views from the deck and dock were breathtaking. I have been vacationing in Maine for decades and the experience at "The Cottage" surpassed all others!"Guest: Texas Chick Date of Stay: June 2013 Review Submitted: July 9, 2013View listing
"This was the perfect family getaway. A magic that brings families together. We had the best of both worlds. A cabin on the lake but only a half an hour from the ocean. The cabin is well maintained with everything you could think of for cooking. It is also very clean and perfectly decorated. We swam, fished, had a fire outside every night, toasted marshmallows. The scenery is wonderful. Loons, ducks and beautiful sunsets. The stars at night are spectacular. A week is not long enough! Even my 16 and 12 year old did not want to leave. Very relaxing and private. Yet there are neighbors close enough who are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this for a family vacation and look forward to returning next summer. Oh and the owner is always available if need be. Just a fantastic time all around!"Guest: Bridget D. Date of Stay: August 2013 Review Submitted: August 14, 2013View listing
