"We had a delightful time in Georgetown. The house is very private and comfortable. The island itself is lovely to wander about, great sea food at Five Islands, and lovely walks all over the area, including along the beaches.
The surrounding area of Maine is also great to visit - lovely little villages and some great art museums at Portland, Bowdoin, and Rockland/Rockport."

"My Sisters and I picked Maine this year for our annual family get together.I happened upon this house on VRBO and loved it immediately. There are essentially three wings to the house which made it easy for our families to get together but also to spend time separate if needed. There were fresh linens including towels when we arrived. The view from all the windows overlooking the Cove was amazing every day. Our favorite part of the day was watching the tide roll in and out. The house was completely outfitted with dishes, pots and pans, and a grill to give us all the comforts of home. We were conveniently located to everything including sailing, deep sea fishing, wandering art exhibits and state parks. The owners had two Kayaks there which the kids loved using. They even made sure there were life jackets randomly sized for everyone. Mark and Alice took some of us our on their boat for a joyful couple hours. There are several fresh fish/lobster options right down the road. You can stop by the Co-op and purchase fresh lobster from the fisherman or visit the fishing Co-op right outside of town where the local fishermen bring their fish to sell. The owners not only invested to make sure we had a comfortable place to stay, they went out of their way to share the reasons they love the area. Those little known facts about a place you just can't Google such as locations famous for paintings like N.C. Wyeth. My only regret is we had to leave this little bit of paradise to come back home. Great Memories made in the rental and Port Clyde. We will be visiting again soon!"

"What a surprise when we drove up to the "Moxie" cottage! It was adorable! The furnishings were very comfortable and all of your modern conviences were there for you. My children (7 and 10) loved the pool! There was also a Spa available too which was very tempting, but time didn't allow.
We walked over the foot bridge each day to Wiscassett to eat, shop and explore. Such cute, friendly towns surround it! The cottage is also in an excellent location. We took day trips to Camden and Poppham Beach State Park. We didn't want to leave, but know we will try to rent the "Moxie" again next year. We hope to get more relatives from Chicago to come back with us! It was a perfect getaway!"
