"My family and I decided to have a week getaway, we chose " Angel's Roost " based off online reviews. When we arrived to the home it was equipped with everything possible to feel like you are at home while you are away. Very peaceful and well maintained, the water is just a small walk away and the nights are beautiful sitting on the front porch. The house had brochures to all the surrounding areas and places you could go to enjoy. Everything was exactly as listed! My family had a beautiful time and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit."

"After being on a windjammer for 5 days (which I loved), the privacy of The Ashgrove was perfect. As the couple before me stated, I too found I wanted to spend more time "home". Lucy was so gracious, welcoming, and helpful. Kitchen- a treat to cook in- site pictures show ample counter space and the view out to the trees a pleasure while preparing food or cleaning up. The overall space of the apt is roomy, good storage, plenty of light. The mattress was comfortable and I liked the way the bed was tucked off to the side- felt cozy that way. Great to walk to the water and I enjoyed spending time on shore-sunshine and one foggy morning. The picture of path ending at the water doesn't do justice to what one finds once one emerges onto the shore. (Seeing the Islesboro Ferry come and go was fun, also.) When in Camden before, I had never stayed outside the town and being further north encouraged me to explore Belfast. I found this location easy to explore the inland countryside and more around Lake Megunticook, coming from Lincolnville, rather than Camden for a different perspective. I did eat in, but also out: Belfast on Sunday late afternoon of Labor Day got hungry (was parked across the street from La Vida, so gave it a try. I chose the locally raised chorizo fajitas and liked it). In Camden I enjoyed a second year of meals at Longrain , as well as winning meals at the new restaurant Pig and Poet at Whitehall Inn. I visited Camden State Park, drove to the top and then hiked the Mt. Battie trail. I would have liked to do another trail, also, but I was still recovering from 4 days of intense hiking on Vinalhaven Island.
I recommend staying here. If not for the affordable price I wouldn't be able to extend my vacation extra days after the Windjammer. Something this nice that is so affordable is appreciated (and some goodies from the organic!) Two things to be aware of: One minor frustration was some WiFi issues . Some times I needed to be on-line and I had to go outside to the steps or stand in the driveway to have it work- booster had been installed, but I guess there are some kinks to work out. Not a huge issue for me, but one that could be serious if needing to do work. One other small thing to adjust to was the sink set-up in the bathroom area. But I did and it became a non issue. To sit on the deck in day or night was wonderfully relaxing and private- basically, bottom line is that I am so glad I found and chose The Ashgrove! Thanks for everything."

"This is an apartment in a very beautiful and well maintained home. Maria is nearby and very helpful, but not "in the way." The kitchen is very well stocked and the whole apartment is immaculate. Highly recommend this to anyone.
It is a 5 minute walk to the very quaint and picturesque downtown and harbor with lots to do for all ages."

"This is a stunning house, replete with incredible views and in a perfect location on a quiet Mid-Coast Maine peninsula. We were two families with young children, and we loved the size of the house and the multiple options of things to do in and around its immediate vicinity. We played on the climbing frame, swam, paddled, searched through tidal rock pools, watched the sun set, barbequed, and walked in the forest. We ran out of time so didn't get to do any bicycling or boating. The house is really well-equipped for guests, with a thoughtfully and comprehensively stocked kitchen. The owners are non-intrusive but immediately available for questions. All-in-all, a wonderful find, made more special by being welcomed in to this beautiful family home. We hope to come back again."
