"I booked this cabin to have a place mid-coast in order to easily travel north or south. It was perfect for two people. Although compact, everything needed for an enjoyable stay was there, a fully equipped kitchen, no TV (thank you for that!), radio and a varied selection of CD's, comfortable bed, many windows, and mostly peace and quiet. The cabin was very clean and cozy, very welcoming. If I revisit the area, I'll check to see if this cabin is available first!"

"We spent a week in Maine and stayed at this adorable cottage. We walked in and right away new we chose the right place. The house (bathrooms) were really clean. And everything we needed was there. The beds were comfy and the location was central to everything we wanted to do on the coast. We could walk to the shops and restaurants in Camden which was really nice. At the end of the day we enjoyed a glass of wine on the back patio and enjoyed the beautiful gardens. The air conditioners were a plus too as it was in the the high 80's while we were there. We highly recommend this sweet cottage!"

A GRAND DOWAGER ....SHE PRESIDES OVER PENOBSCOT BAY....BEAUTIFUL
"We drove along and then saw her this grand old house. She sat on a crest of green lawn with glorious views of the bay.The porch in back along the whole length and side was our first rest. The inside architectural accents were so appealing and the fireplace was provided with more than enough wood which we used every night. A big plus is that the beds were great...I have rented on VRBO and been once greatly disappointed but not at his house. The dining room is a grand room with wonderful lights all around from another year. The eyebrow latticed entry made you wonder about the men who built it...so talented. There were wonderful mementos of children and adults....shells all around...little rocks in the dining room drawer with names of probably all the adults and all the little ones to be used as place markers. The so comfortable leather chairs in the living room cushioned me each morning with a cup of coffee. I love Pee-G hydrangeas and big vase of them was on the coffee table. This is a house that has not been ruined by "updating"....the tubs are grand old tubs, the light switches are the old button type I love. The kitchen is so well stocked with stem ware, dishes and flatware....the old style sink was great. If you are so uptight that you must have a completely "modern" kitchen then think again. This one has every comfort. This is a great opportunity to live with a grand staircase, soaring ceilings, well done stepping stones to the bay below, a refrigerator from another era brought to this time by engineer skill. You might think you were of the privileged class just after the turn of the century. You will love this place. You will be privileged."

"Online and approaching appears a fantastic vacation cottage, but upon entering one realizes it is truly a lovely decorated and totally comfortable home. The owners paid attention to detail and certainly did not hesitate to think of the comfort of their renters. We always relaxed on either of the two perfect porches. Georgetown's seemingly remote location is a large part of its attraction as the area offers beautiful views, picturesque sunsets, a nearby private beach - all to be enjoyed in extreme quiet. The drive from the highway to Georgetown has to be executed cautiously but is not without its merit. We saw herds of as well as individual deer on every trip. Georgetown is a paradise for anyone who loves being on, in, or near beautiful bodies of water. It is certainly a kayaker's dream. The girls, ages four and six, loved searching for sea glass at the private beach and for sand dollars at Popham Beach (forty minutes away but well worth the time). Should one tire of the sand and surf, there are boat tours, shopping, and great restaurants in nearby Bath and Brunswick. Two of our favorites were Five Islands Lobster Company and the Sea Dogs Brewery (totally acceptable restaurant for children). We all loved every minute we spent at the beach home as well as in and near Georgetown! We're looking forward to a return stay."
