"Stayed here with my mother, uncle, brother, his girlfriend, and our 2 bulldogs. The property was very comfortable and well-suited to our needs. The open plan living-dining-kitchen area that opens on to the back deck is very nice for socializing."

"A cottage right by the beach, peaceful and relaxing. I had a wonderful week with my 2 well behaved dogs. Susanne and Michael were wonderful hosts. A beautiful spot to spend a week. I highly recommend !"

"This was our third year at SEAS THE DAY and cannot say enough about the property. This year the incredible renovations make an already beautiful home really over the top! You can tell the owners really love this home...the improvements would make anyone want to make the trip to Maine and forget to leave.
The new upstairs master is sensational, the glass windows and upstairs balconies are wonderful and the incredible master bathroom is luxurious to say the least. There are plenty of spaces to sit and relax both inside and out. We love the fire pit and the new hot tub and made sure to use both often during our stay. The week was everything we look forward to each year...just relaxing and listening to the ocean, watching the lobster boats go by and listening to the seagulls.
Apart from the deck, my favorite part is the kitchen. It is well equipped and makes cooking meals a breeze. They installed top of the line appliances this past year and it makes cooking during my vacation a pleasure.
We can't wait to come again next year."

"This was our second year to spend a week in September at the Carousel. We will definitely want to return again and again. The house is beautifully located on a bluff overlooking the ocean with a deck that offers gorgeous views of the sunrise, the ocean with working lobster boats and, of course, the sound of surf pounding below. One special feature that we loved was the way the sun warms the deck in the morning so that even on chilly September morings it was comfortable to sit outside and enjoy coffee with the view. Inside, the house is well equipped for cooking and relaxing. We loved the comfortable living room with its many windows, making it possible to enjoy the view even on rainy or stormy days. There are two bedrooms downstairs, each with its own bathroom (beautifully rennovated) and a bed upstairs in the loft. The only problem I could find with the house is that a couple sleeping upstairs cannot access a bathroom without going through one of the downstairs bedrooms. If children are sleeping in the loft ths might be ok, but not for, say, a third couple. Otherwise, I would say the house is perfect. If you prefer to do something other than sit on the deck, there are lovely places to visit nearby - for example, the Marshall Point Lighthouse, the little village of Port Clyde, Drift-in Beach, the Lobster Lane Used Bookstore (unfortunately only open on weekends) and Monhegan Island which has a nice boat ride to get there and some wonderful hiking. The house and its surroundings are all a very special experience!"
