"Having spent all of my childhood summers in Boothbay Harbor, Maine in a rustic log cabin also built in the 1920s, my idea of the PERFECT Maine visit was absolutely exceeded and changed forever! My wife and I fell head over heels for this romantically situated rustic and charming oasis. The owner, Peter, is a new wonderful friend and we're already planning our return next year. If you are a wood burning fireplace aficionado like me, you are in for a treat! Every amenity is provided, individual heat radiators in the bedrooms and bathroom, FIRE WOOD, a fully stocked large kitchen and the outside front porch view that will mesmerize you to complete serenity. There's even a gorgeous sitting area a few yards from the cabin with Adirondack style seating and a fire pit to enjoy beautiful sunsets over the bay. There is so much to explore in the area, but we found ourselves more and more wanting to just stay in and savor every moment of this beautiful property. I've revisited the Boothbay region dozens of times over the last 20 years, and even rented near my old cabin from my childhood. This experience was, hands down, my absolute favorite Maine vacation in my life thus far. Put this beautiful cabin visit on your bucket list!
We can't wait to return."

"My husband, 9 year old and I stayed at Long Cove Cottages for about 2 weeks and it was the highlight of the summer. The proprietors are there when you need them. The cottages were clean, cute and had everything we needed to cook like we were at home. Of course there are excellent local restaurants. Probably our favorite was the Happy Clam just down the road. All of the photos and description of the cottages and area are accurate. There is no end to options of things to do and that are entertaining for all ages. Prepare for a chill if you plan on taking a dip in the ocean, but there are warmer lakes nearby. We spent most of our time relaxing in the cabin - sitting on the deck watching the weather come in and the lobster boats come and go out of the cove. The only negative was having to leave at the end of our stay."

"We spent the last week of September and the first part of October at the Wicked Cute. Three glorious days of 70 degrees then a freak storm with 5+ inches of rain and ending the stay with a high temp of 50 degrees. Through in watching the blood moon eclipse over Norton Pond and that's was our adventure in a nutshell. The Camp was cozy comfortable for our stay and we loved the tranquility. The owners were great to work with and you won't be disappointed if you decide to stay here."

Cozy, beautiful garden setting nestled between mountains and the Bay.
"Perfect size for the two of us for a week. We had good weather and found new trails nearby every day, often the only walkers. Day trips to Camden, BarHarbor and Acadia, and out of the way lighthouses were great! Enjoyed meeting Grechen and Steve and got good advice on where to hike. Food choices were unlimited and always tasty! Recommend the Friday night pizza at Dolci Vita. The stairs are steep, just as shown, so need to be considered if that might be an issue for you. This was our first trip to Maine and we thoroughly enjoyed the farmhouse and gardens as our home for the week."
