  • Great place and close to town!

"We came in for a conference and it was perfect! There were 4 of us. It was a cozy little place with everything we needed. We bought some lobsters on the first night at the little grocery on the main street and cooked them up at the house. Everything we need was there. Nice little rooms to sit in at night and relax. We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Wonderfully unique beach home

"This house is in a prime location on a private beach, which is extremely rare to come by in Maine. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. There are a lot of comfortable seating areas both inside and out. The beds are great... nice sheets and firm mattresses! They are a big difference from most rental properties! My family had a fantastic stay in this cottage and we plan to return for many years to come!"

  • Nice Home Good location with Everything you need

"This home is well situated between Boothbay and Wiscasset. We had a great time visiting both towns while having a lovely vacation home to enjoy. The home is clean, comfortable and well stocked. Very tranquil and quiet. You can watch the lobster boats from the deck in the morning. The owner was attentive - I recommend staying here."

  • Spectacular getaway, awesome house

"Our stay at Cousins Cove was absolutely fantastic. We were a large group, many families coming together to spend a week in Port Clyde. The house was spotless upon arrival, with plenty of linens and towels provided. There are essentially 3 wings of the house, allowing for a large group to have the best of both worlds, privacy in the sleeping areas and large accommodating common space for gathering. My family stayed upstairs, my husband and I in the master, my 2 children in the 2 twin bedroom and we shared a full bath. Our bedroom, spacious and bathed in soothing beach colors, provided lots of closet space and drawers for our belongings. But nothing compares to waking up each morning to THAT VIEW! Every corner of this house offers views onto the most breathtaking vista, the tidal water, the rocks, the expanse of sea. The quality of the light in this part of the world is something not to be missed. Our family had plenty of room to gather around the dining table for grand meals and epic games. The house is furnished, in my opinion, perfectly. Comfortable and inviting, not fussy at all. The living room is a wonderful gathering place, decorated with a nod to the nautical. My absolute favorite time of the day was sunset. Cocktails on the back porch, overlooking the kids running wild in the yard, with the shifting sun light over the water. The screened porch served as a perfect location for our lobster dinners at night and for coffee in the morning. The owners, Mark and Alice, could not have been more accommodating hosts. Making valuable recommendations for places to go and things to see! They even invited to take us out on their sail boat for what turned out to be, one of the highlights of the trip. Seeing Maine from the water was such a treat! I cannot recommend this property enough. We have rented many houses over the years, and this remains one of the best and one we will surely be returning to."

Mid-Coast & Islands Travel Tips

Maine Rentals for Picturesque Convenience

If you are looking for a vacation destination that is charming and rustic, consider booking one of the many Maine rentals. This small but robust state has a wealth of attractions to offer. For a short stay in Maine, consider one of the cozy Maine cottages. If you are planning to stay longer, other Maine lodging options may be better choices.

Maine Rentals Are Full of Amenities

The rugged coastline of Maine, dotted with picturesque lighthouses, will provide you with a vacation like no other. To truly make the most of your time here, it is important to make sure that you have selected the best Maine lodging. While you could certainly rent a hotel room, Maine rentals such as vacation homes and Maine cottages provide so many additional benefits. After spending a long day exploring the coastline, checking out the quaint shops and treating yourself to Maine lobster, it will be nice to be able to return back to a comfortable vacation rental. Most of the rental homes in the state provide amenities that you will not find in hotel rooms, such as full kitchens, spacious living areas, fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs.

Maine Cottages Offer So Much to Do nearby

During your time in Maine, you may wish to take one of the historical tours offered in many of the towns throughout the state. This is a great way to learn more about the local area. Another option to consider is getting in some time fishing or boating, both of which are quite popular throughout the state. Your Maine rentals will be conveniently located for you to enjoy all of these activities.

Maine Lodging in the Fall

If you plan your trip to Maine during the fall, there is simply nothing better than taking a scenic drive through the byways and enjoying the glorious fall foliage. After returning to one of the Maine cottages you have rented, build a roaring fire and snuggle under a cozy blanket. Bookings for Maine lodging can be easily made online, allowing you many cottages or larger vacation homes to choose from for your upcoming trip.
