  • Very comfortable and centrally located

"We had a delightful stay at Puffins Cove. Great amenities, comfortable beds, convenient location and great hospitality. Everything is especially clean, tidy and spacious. Also, the house is on a short dead end street which eliminates access/parking challenges. We would happily return again and would recommend this historic home to anyone visiting the area."

  • Great Week

"We had a great week in Bremen. The house was clean when we arrived. Thanks for sending the welcome package the week before we went as it had a lot of good info. We had some awesome weather and really enjoyed just sitting/laying out on the deck for most of it and really appreciated the comfortable deck furniture. My daughter and I even worked on a couple of duets, with her singing and me accompanying on guitar......something we have never done before (some down time is good for the soul). The two days that were wet we visited a number of local places and your welcome package helped us with that. we appreciated the wide array of cookware, the open layout of the main floor rooms, the comfortable furniture in the living room area, and the very comfortable beds. We very much enjoyed our stay."

  • Beautiful sunsets!

"My husband and my son and his wife booked this beautiful, well supplied, house on the water. We stayed for a week and had a great time. We enjoyed the deck. The beds were very comfortable and each couple had their privacy too! We were surrounded by quaint little towns and lots of scenic drives. The sky was intriguing with the sunrise and sunsets. We ate lobster everyday! I would definitely recommend this to my friends. The owners and booking agent were also very helpful and friendly"

  • A perfect Maine vacation

"As we drove down Pemiquid Trails to the Laughing Gull cottage we admired the beautiful homes along the ocean and the quiet of the street. And then we came to the cottage, we could tell it was a log cabin built many years ago and situated on a perfect piece of property. The windows had window boxes with beautiful yellow and blue wildflowers. The property was extremely well manicured, and the pine trees in the front on the ocean side couldn’t have been more picturesque. Two white picket chairs sitting there, just waiting for us to come out with a good glass of wine and watch the Sun set. Once we entered the cabins, we immediately left all the stress at the door; we felt like we were home. The cabin was beautiful, well-appointed and so peaceful. Every amenity was thought of and we needed to bring nothing but our clothes, books and food. The cabin was immaculately clean and smelled fresh. The kitchen had every cooking utensil you would need, even Lobster plates and a lobster pot! Plenty of dishes, silverware even a poaching pan for eggs. We found additional treats, such as, the bathroom had a heater, the bed had a mattress warmer and propane heater that could heat the whole house. The small barn out back had more than enough fire wood to satisfy the beautiful ocean stone fireplace, it was huge and burned beautiful fires – what a treat. Plenty of activities to do within a close ride, lot of trials, and sites to see, good restaurants. Additionally two well-maintained bikes were in the barn for our use. The Host was also in residence and came over to introduce himself and ask if we needed anything to give him a call. It is a good feeling to have the owner close by – just in case. We are so pleased with finding the Laughing Gull that we have booked two weeks next year. Kathie and Jonathan"

Mid-Coast & Islands Travel Tips

Maine Rentals for Picturesque Convenience

If you are looking for a vacation destination that is charming and rustic, consider booking one of the many Maine rentals. This small but robust state has a wealth of attractions to offer. For a short stay in Maine, consider one of the cozy Maine cottages. If you are planning to stay longer, other Maine lodging options may be better choices.

Maine Rentals Are Full of Amenities

The rugged coastline of Maine, dotted with picturesque lighthouses, will provide you with a vacation like no other. To truly make the most of your time here, it is important to make sure that you have selected the best Maine lodging. While you could certainly rent a hotel room, Maine rentals such as vacation homes and Maine cottages provide so many additional benefits. After spending a long day exploring the coastline, checking out the quaint shops and treating yourself to Maine lobster, it will be nice to be able to return back to a comfortable vacation rental. Most of the rental homes in the state provide amenities that you will not find in hotel rooms, such as full kitchens, spacious living areas, fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs.

Maine Cottages Offer So Much to Do nearby

During your time in Maine, you may wish to take one of the historical tours offered in many of the towns throughout the state. This is a great way to learn more about the local area. Another option to consider is getting in some time fishing or boating, both of which are quite popular throughout the state. Your Maine rentals will be conveniently located for you to enjoy all of these activities.

Maine Lodging in the Fall

If you plan your trip to Maine during the fall, there is simply nothing better than taking a scenic drive through the byways and enjoying the glorious fall foliage. After returning to one of the Maine cottages you have rented, build a roaring fire and snuggle under a cozy blanket. Bookings for Maine lodging can be easily made online, allowing you many cottages or larger vacation homes to choose from for your upcoming trip.
