  • Idyllic stay

"We couldn't have been more pleased with this historic restored boathouse. The peaceful lake is located just off the deck which wraps around the house on three sides. The furnishings are of high quality; the kitchen provides all the equipment you need for a family, and there is a grill outside, a hammock, and many deck chairs for sitting and visiting or watching the calm lake. The captains beds in the upstairs bedrooms are very comfortable, and we heard the loons every evening, and saw them up close each morning in the lake. We felt lucky to stay in this charming, beautiful home, and would return again. Highly recommended."

  • Outstanding week by the Lake!

"My wife and I recently rented the cottage for the week along with our two sons (10 & 12) and four of their friends. The Cottage is tucked back at the end of a private road in Sebago State Park along with only 6 other cottages. Private & quiet but not isolated. Being right in the park was ideal. Kids had access to miles of nearby trails and a choice of 3 spots to enjoy the lake. The main state park beach was only a 5 minute walk and there are clean bathrooms, picnic tables and grills that you can use. However, the spot that everyone loved was the small beach that was literally a minute walk directly behind the cottage. The kids played beach soccer, football, floated on the inner tubes we brought and did what 12 years olds do-run around non stop. We had the beach mostly to ourselves the entire time. The cottage itself had plenty of room for everyone to relax. Four bedrooms and a large room with comfortable cots provided the kids multiple sleeping options. Two full bathrooms/showers along with complimentary shampoo/conditioner kept the kids smelling (relatively) fresh. In the cottage, the owners Scott and Pam thought of every detail, large and small to make for an enjoyable stay-Split firewood for the firepit, charcoal and ligher fluid for the grill, horeshoe pit, canoe, kayaks, hammock, plenty of outdoor furniture and the "little" things like new sponges, dish detergent, clothes detergent and even flashlights that the kids used on their night hikes were greatly appreciated. We particulary loved the large DVD collection. The kids watched a different movie each night and was a great way to get them to have some down time. The other highlight was our nightly "smore" making party as we relaxed and talked about the day. The location to other towns/activiites/restaurants is excellent. We went to a nearby amusement park one day played a few rounds of mini golf another and grabbed ice cream at the Naples Causeway. We ate out a few times but cooked at the cottage the majority of the time. The nearby Umbrella Factory Supermarket(Tony C's) while small, was perfect for stocking up on supplies. Communication with Scott and Pam was prompt and professional at every stage of the process. Extremely pleasant and helpful. Their efforts in making sure we had what we needed did not go unnoticed. If you are looking for a true lake cottage expereince where you can spend some quality time with friends or family this is the ideal place."

  • Best Rental At Sugarloaf

"We just rented this property for for 4 days at Thanksgiving. 2 adults, 5 year old and our dog. We had tried to rent a house but not available dates. Our objective was for me to check out the area and ski. Foot of fresh on Thanksgiving eve so good early snow. What a surprise. This condo was perfect for our needs. Clean, clean, clean. New, current, and warm. Most condos at sugarloaf are dated. Not this one. Other thing I liked is that it is furnished well. Basic but new, clean, functional and "generic". By that I mean that many rentals are so personalized with specific taste that you feel like you are intruding on the owners private space. This had great balance. As for size, it was cozy. Not huge. We could have comfortably had another 2-3 people. After looking at multiple high end homes and condos, I said,"why wouldn't we just buy one of these?" Which we are considering. It is located on the Westside of the mountain. I liked how quiet it was. The owner Anthony was accessible by email and made the experience easy. We plan to rent this property again through the season for sure. It was great."

  • Great for Extended Family

"This property is at the end of a road on a pretty lake, with not too much boat traffic. Our family likes it especially for the grassy yard leading to a beach, leading into the lake with gradual increase in depth, all of which is key for little people! The house itself works well with a large group, with its open floor plan, featuring lake views from the living, eating and cooking areas."
