"We had a great time at the Kiwi! Highly recommend to folks who love a relaxing time on a beautiful lake. The lake is super clean, good sized. We had no powerboats just a few canoes and paddle boats so the lake is quiet with lots of solitude. We stayed a week in the middle of August. Family from Philadelphia with 2 girls (10) and (12). Both the inside and outside of the lodge are really nice. Highlights for us included; great fire pit next to lake where we had fires in the evening almost every night, girls loved the paddle boat, canoes and kayak for lake adventures, caught lots of smallmouth bass of the dock (small ones) but missed 5-6 that were probably 3-4 lbs (even bigger are in the lake), hot tub, floating in the lake for hours, loons and eagles, road trip to Blue Mt State Park in Weld (1/2 hour away) and Rangley (1 hour away) both I highly recommend, great badminton setup (we played everyday), blueberry picking, lobster cookout, We had great weather and no bugs (I guess just enough of a breeze) Owner Kay is great. We went to an Italian restaurant in small town of Wilton (really good) and close. I could keep going. The Kiwi is just a great place for family fun!"

"This Cabin is everything the pictures show and more. We had the most relaxing Vacation here. From the Canoe and Kayaks to the fishing and swimming. Everything was clean and neat when we arrived. This place is Amazing and we hope to be back soon."

"This is our second year staying at this place. I'm not sure how you could find something better. House is great, location is private, the lake is a few steps away from the deck. Our stay with the kids was great. We also have a dog that (with my reluctance) must come on vacation with us. This requirement eliminates a large percentage of rental opportunities and this place accommodates that need. Restaurants, and any shopping you need are minutes away. Thanks again - we look forward to staying again in 2016."

"We stayed here for a week in August with our entire family of 6, including a 1 year old. The cottage is in beautiful shape; it actually looks new. Each entryway is tiled, there is an outdoor shower and a nice lawn area. And as someone noted, it is about a mile from Route 302 but we never heard any traffic noise at all. It is right on the community beach (which was very quiet while we were there). We had a wonderful time using the 2 kayaks (there is also a rowboat and canoe), and the Basin area is off the main lake and less wavy, which is perfect for children. The beach is shallow and sandy.
It is hard to find a house with "adult bedrooms", and the 3rd bedroom here does have bunk beds but that worked alright for us. 3 bathrooms and a washer/dryer also were a bonus.
The only small complaint we had was that the AC units in the main and upper floors were very small. It was a hot week and we had to run them constantly in order to keep the rooms cool. We would have loved to turn them off during the day, open the windows, and then turn them back on in the evening before bed, but that would not have worked. The lower walk out basement room did not have AC (there was a fan), and started to smell a bit damp by the end of the week. Another window unit here would solve this issue easily. We had a couple of very small issues during the week that were promptly dealt with.
All in all, we loved the cottage, the neighborhood, and the lake. We would definitely consider returning."
