"We liked very much our four day stay in the Sugarloaf Pine Home in Stratton. It was better than all our expectations.
The wooden floors and walls create a warm and friendly atmosphere. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the dining room is spacious. We appreciated this a lot since we prefer to have our dinners 'at home' specially after hiking days (though there is a restaurant at less than 1 mile). In the evening, we relaxed in the confortable living room sometimes watching TV, and for sleeping, the rooms and beds are very confortable.
The environment is also very quiet, the house being isolated by beautiful trees,
among them a lot of pines which we found very nice and impressive. Thus, even though the house is close to road 27, we have the feeling of being in a remote place.
Not least for people who like hiking like us, the house is close to the trailheads to the highest peaks in the area ( Bigelow, Saddleback,...). We were very happy about this, not to mention the trailhead of Cranberry peak which is less than 1 mile away.
If we ever come back in the area, it is without doubt that we would appreciate to rent it again."

"Great location, clean and everything you need. Perfect for 2 couples, 3-4 guys or family of 4. accommodations suit all of the above. Kitchen well stocked. Nearby town yet situated far enough out with beautiful view. Owner very helpful, nice and great to work with making arrangements. Definitely would rent again. My husband talked about going back before the vacation was even over. Had to take short drive to town to get cell service (not necessarily a "negative" while on vaca)."

"I stayed at this home over Labor Day weekend 2015 with my wife, parents and two kids. The hose was perfect... including everything we needed for comfort and convenience. Big kitchen area, dinning area, comfortable beds, bedrooms separated perfectly and water views from every room. I was impressed by the quality, upkeep and updated feeling of the home.
The home really stands apart due to it's amazing location on the lake. Located at the end of a small peninsula, you can't help but enjoy the water views at every turn. The exterior of the home is beautifully maintained and includes ample seating. We had local friends over for a BBQ one-time and 12 people comfortably enjoyed the evening... which was completed by a perfect sunset and fire in the lakeside fire pit. The dock area is perfect for swimming and we also enjoyed a nice canoe ride around the lake.
This home is really all you could ask for in a lake retreat."

"We have holidayed on 5 different NE lakes and Sebago is by far the best. Portland is 40 minutes away, with great restaurants and museums. Sebago is a big beautiful lake and Whittemore Cove is the best protected swimming, sailing, and boating cove on the lake. The property has a wonderful lawn leading down to a sand beach and large seating area on the dock. The dock is big enough for a runabout and there is a safe mooring. The kids loved jumping from the large rock at the entrance to the cove.
The house is well laid out for parents and kids with separate lounge areas and a great deck off the well appointed kitchen.
We can recommend Seacoast Adventure park for a great high wire and zip line afternoon for all ages.
We will be back again next year. Thanks Jim."
