"My wife and I recently rented the cottage for the week along with our two sons (10 & 12) and four of their friends. The Cottage is tucked back at the end of a private road in Sebago State Park along with only 6 other cottages. Private & quiet but not isolated.
Being right in the park was ideal. Kids had access to miles of nearby trails and a choice of 3 spots to enjoy the lake. The main state park beach was only a 5 minute walk and there are clean bathrooms, picnic tables and grills that you can use. However, the spot that everyone loved was the small beach that was literally a minute walk directly behind the cottage. The kids played beach soccer, football, floated on the inner tubes we brought and did what 12 years olds do-run around non stop. We had the beach mostly to ourselves the entire time.
The cottage itself had plenty of room for everyone to relax. Four bedrooms and a large room with comfortable cots provided the kids multiple sleeping options. Two full bathrooms/showers along with complimentary shampoo/conditioner kept the kids smelling (relatively) fresh.
In the cottage, the owners Scott and Pam thought of every detail, large and small to make for an enjoyable stay-Split firewood for the firepit, charcoal and ligher fluid for the grill, horeshoe pit, canoe, kayaks, hammock, plenty of outdoor furniture and the "little" things like new sponges, dish detergent, clothes detergent and even flashlights that the kids used on their night hikes were greatly appreciated. We particulary loved the large DVD collection. The kids watched a different movie each night and was a great way to get them to have some down time. The other highlight was our nightly "smore" making party as we relaxed and talked about the day.
The location to other towns/activiites/restaurants is excellent. We went to a nearby amusement park one day played a few rounds of mini golf another and grabbed ice cream at the Naples Causeway. We ate out a few times but cooked at the cottage the majority of the time. The nearby Umbrella Factory Supermarket(Tony C's) while small, was perfect for stocking up on supplies.
Communication with Scott and Pam was prompt and professional at every stage of the process. Extremely pleasant and helpful. Their efforts in making sure we had what we needed did not go unnoticed.
If you are looking for a true lake cottage expereince where you can spend some quality time with friends or family this is the ideal place."

"I am reluctant to leave a review of this cabin for fear others might discover one of the sweetest vacation retreats in New England!
The cabin was exactly as described, the scenery serene. Whether making s'mores by the firepit steps from the lake, reading by the cabin's fireplace, swimming, sunbathing, conoeing, fishing, or just relaxing, this spot has it all. My family of four (two children 11 &12) had a wonderful time bonding, laughing together, and being "unplugged" (by choice).
There are places to buy groceries and supplies, an amusement park for the kid in all of us, antique and junque shops for treasure-hunters, hiking and biking trails for the fitness-conscious, all manner of restaurants serving various cuisines, a cinema for those rainy days, and lots of home-made ice-cream stands - all within about 5-10 miles of the cabin.
We were all so reluctant to return to our "normal" lives of deadlines, schedules, stress, and commuting. Once mortals have tasted ambrosia, it's hard to go back to casseroles..."

"This property is at the end of a road on a pretty lake, with not too much boat traffic. Our family likes it especially for the grassy yard leading to a beach, leading into the lake with gradual increase in depth, all of which is key for little people! The house itself works well with a large group, with its open floor plan, featuring lake views from the living, eating and cooking areas."

"I found this little gem on VRBO and couldn't have been much happier about it. I'm the Head Coach for a performance Ski team and we had an event in Sunday River (30min away) and as this was a pretty important event seclusion and staying away from outside distractions is paramount. The morning after our arrival night I went for a walk out on to Papoose pond and noticed some iced over Ice fishing holes. After some time we found a local to Auger in a few holes for us and I was able to introduce my athletes to Ice Fishing right out the back door. we sat by the fire every night and the athletes were able to relax and enjoy themselves. The house was exceptionally clean upon out arrival and well stocked with fire wood. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some peace and quiet in a beautiful setting!"
