  • Clean and Spacious Home

"We were a group of 9 adults and 3 kids who stayed in this beautiful home over the last weekend. The house was clean and well appointed. Kitchen pantry was stocked with all essentials. Bathrooms were neat and tidy with plenty of towels for use. Everyone enjoyed sitting beside the fireplace in the living room. The living room was spacious enough to accomodate all of us. We totally loved the pool table. Betsy, the owner is a pleasure to work with. She promptly answered all our queries and also sent us a list of restaurants around the area. She even warned us about the snow accumulation in the area. So there were no surprises as such. We are thinking of going again in summer."

  • Wonderful Lakefront Cottage

"Sadly, our wonderful week at "the Schoolhouse" on the shores of Kezar Lake will come to an end tomorrow. This property has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation in the beautiful White Mountain's lake region. Depending on your personal interests, you can swim, boat and relax by the lake all day or you can head off to North Conway for shopping, nightlife and tourist attractions. For the more adventurous types, you can enjoy some of the best hiking and river canoeing found anywhere. Whatever you do, make sure you stop by Ebenezer's Pub. It's just two miles up the road and it has been named the No. 1 beer destination in the world with over 800 different beers on site (and pretty good food, too). When you return to the Schoolhouse after a long day of vacationing, you will truly feel like you are "home." It seems like Janet has thought of everything. If you need it, the Schoolhouse has it. The interior is decorated with care to provide a warm and easy New England living environment. Everything is extremely clean and well maintained. We will definitely recommend this property to all of our friends and we look forward to staying here again in the future."

  • wonderful family vacation/reunion sight

"The property VERY comfortably housed a large gathering of extended family members. The sleeping porch was perfect for a large contingent of children..what fun! The dining area and kitchen were amazingly well stocked with everything you would need to prepare and feed large crowds. The views from the front deck and picture windows were gorgeous. Access to the lake and water activities was right out the front door. Water was beautiful/clear. We had perfect weather for outdoor activities in mid-June. The owners were very responsive to our requests. The property was everything we were looking for and MORE in a Maine "camp" atmosphere for a large crowd."

  • Perfect!

"Had the pleasure of staying in Cranberry Cottage for a week this summer. The house exceeded our expectations. The location was fantastic, 2 min walk from the Marina where you could rent boats, have lunch/dinner or chill with a beer on the deck of The Loons Nest watching the sun set over beautiful Kezar Lake. Upstairs had 3 large bedrooms one was ensuite (full bath) with a great walk in wardrobe. Main bathroom was upstairs also; so handy having the 2 bathrooms with 2 teenage girls! Downstairs there is a lovely big open plan sitting room, dining area with 6 chairs and a huge kitchen with another table and 4 chairs. Off the kitchen there was another bathroom with a shower/laundry room and a side door out to the where you park. Off the kitchen/dining area there are patio doors onto a raised wooden deck. From here you can see down to lake through the woods. It is so peaceful and beautiful here that we would sit for hours taking it all in...so different from our normal city life. There is a great camp fire already set up which we used alot to cook on...was so much fun making smores!!! A lovely hammock and swing set finishes it all off nicely. There is a T.V and V.C.R. with a good collection of films if you find yourself in the mood for T.V. there is also a great range of board games. Forgot to mention the badmington nets out in the front garden along with rackets etc The canoe and paddle boat is shared between both houses and they are kept down by the Marina. We had great fun out on the lake and life jackets and oars are provided. There is WIFI which is great! There is a little sandy beach 1 min through the woods at the back of the house and our girls spent hours swimming here. There are picnic tables here and there are also deck chairs out back of house you can bring down. There is a dock also that we had great fun jumping from in the evenings!! There were plenty of towels, bed sheets etc. We did a big grocery shop in North Conway (about 20 min drive) which kept us going for the week. There is a lovely little pub/restaurant called Ebenezers about 2 mile down the road that is well worth a visit, never saw so many beer taps in the one pub (and I'm Irish!!). We were lucky with the weather and only had 2 bad days, luckily there is plenty to do in nearby towns. We went to the outlets at Settlers Green where there is also a cinema. Be prepared for mosquitos!! Perfect vacation in every way.."
