  • Winter escape spectacular views

"This lovely home offered clean comfort with new "everything" and views from inside and out that cannot be captured in photos. We skied close by at Shawnee Peak, snow shoed on long lake and rented snowmobiles in Fryeburg. Kitchen was perfect for cooking all our meals with plenty of room to spread out and eat at the dining table or sitting at the counter in the morning looking out onto the lake with a cup of coffee."

  • Birchwinds to relax.

"As repeat visitors we appreciate the peace at this end of beautiful Trickey Pond. The singing loons are a delight. The platform looking down on the dock is the perfect perch for morning coffee and the house deck high above is great for conversations with hummingbirds. Our family feels at home at Birchwinds and have always been happy there."

  • Perfect for a relaxing Maine vacation!

"We loved the camp and really loved how close it was to town. You don't have to drive forever down bad dirt roads to get there. The pictures don't even do it justice. It is larger and more spacious than it appears in pictures. It is well stocked with games, kitchen essentials, a hair dryer, etc. Everything is neatly organized. There is plenty of space for 2 families and the place has everything you could need! The owners were super nice and helpful. It was pretty clean, I guess if you are looking for the Waldorf, this might not be your spot, but we loved it and would return again in a minute. With that being said, there were only a couple minor inconveniences… The very first Sunday morning we were there I got up before anyone else and imagined a peaceful morning enjoying my coffee on the deck while listening to the loons. At 0730 on Sunday morning, the neighbor started up his astro powered riding lawn mower and began mowing the lawn. Who does that on Sunday morning at 0730?? A holiday weekend, even. It was loud and wicked obnoxious. It reminded me of a something you would see in a Chevy Chase movie. However, not the owners fault. The microwave broke on our third day and we called the owner who promptly sent a repairman. It could not be fixed so we were without a microwave for the rest of the week. The only other little unpleasant thing was 3 or 4 fresh mounds of dog turd on the lawn. We cleaned it up and never looked back. It's honestly a gem. We had a great week and overall would recommend it in a heartbeat!"
