  • Cant Wait To Come Back!

"It was our first time staying at the cabin in Sebago and we are already planning a return trip. The cabin sits in a beautiful location and the lake front access couldnt be better, there was a boat dock, firepit, bbq grill, tables etc. We wanted a place to relax and enjoy the scenery and that is exactly what we found. The owner was most accommodating and had everything we needed, right down to the wood for the wood stove! The cabin was very clean and comfortable, the linens and down comforters were just right, the perfect home away from home. Although we did not have time to enjoy the grill on the deck or the lobster pot this time, the rides around the neighborhood and down to the lake in the morning on the golf cart were great. We paddled over to the beach area of the State Park in the kayaks provided and the next day Sherry offered to take us for a ride around the lake in her boat of which she was able to point out a baby eagle and their nest and well as a couple local loons. This log home and all the extras that go along with it made this mini vacation one of the best we have ever had. There are several homes available in this area, but, considering all the extras, I have to say this one is likely the best. We highly recommend it!"

  • Quiet Retreat for the Whole Family

"Both the description and photos were spot on and the home was immaculate. The owner was very friendly and prompt with answers to any questions we had. Helpful information and brochures were also available. The lake was a short walk down the road where we found kayaks, canoe, and tubes and noodles to float on. In addition to swimming, fishing, and playing in the lake, we also took a drive to Scarborough Beach and Portland, both within a one hour drive. Trickey Pond is absolutely beautiful and a great place to spend some quality time with the family. Whether we chose to sit on the porch, lay in the hammock, or enjoy all of the things to do down at the lake, there was something for everyone."

  • Perfect Vacation

"Our family of four (parents plus two young daughters) just returned from this property a couple of weeks ago and we give it eight thumbs up! Actually twelve thumbs up as we had two visitors while we were up there. We couldn’t have had a more perfect vacation. The property came just as advertised. We’ve rented properties all over Lake Sebago and nearby lakes the last five years and before that lakes in NH and VT. This is definitely one of the top rental properties in terms of the physical aspects – sandy beach on a clear, fresh-water lake, child/toddler-friendly landscaping, a clean and well-equipped house (bedding and towels must be supplied by guests) large enough to accommodate our family and visiting friends and relatives. But what really makes this place special is the people (and dog!). The owners, George and Bobbi, live next door and they were the most attentive and generous “landlords” we’ve ever had the pleasure to deal with (from the moment we contacted them via this website to the time we got our deposit check back). Just as a small example, at one point my wife needed a sieve for cooking as our kitchen, which was otherwise well equipped, did not have one. She asked George if they had one to borrow. George came by next day with one. He never even mentioned it, but it was clearly bought new just for us. He could have just said he didn’t have one and that would have been the end of it, but he went out of his way to get it for us. We also very much enjoyed his grown up children and their children. Sharing the beach may be a put off for some, but the property and certainly the lake are large enough to accommodate all. In fact, our seven year old got along fabulously with one of the grandchildren. On this vacation we never heard the oft complaint from past years -- “Dad, there’s nothing to do!” (other than swimming, building sand castles, going on canoe rides, catching critters and fish, roasting marshmellows, etc., etc. – all of which we did). Having a friendly golden retriever also was a huge hit with our children. We will definitely return."

  • Dad with 2 boys, 4 wheeling and bird hunting Oct 2014

"We have been going to the Eustis area for years and am so thankful that we found this home to stay in. In the past, we have stayed at the Spill Over Motel, which was great. But there is no comparison to having your own kitchen and much more room then a motel. The place is very charming and cozy, we really loved it. My 10 year set up his wild life camera and we have video of deer in the back yard which came out around 10:00 PM. We liked it that we were on a private dirt road, away from the main road, but there were a few neighbors in sight just in case you needed something, which we didn't. The lot is nice and private. I liked the location, since I didn't want to be way out in the woods. The place is spotless; the shower is roomy with plenty of hot water. There is a 'bear' theme throughout, which my kids loved. We fished for just a few hours in Flagstaff lake and used the pier at "Pines Market" which is an easy 5 miles north of the property. My sons caught some good sized togue type fish. You can find most anything you need there at that Pines Market. We did not 4 wheel from the property as we were not familiar with trails from that location; instead we headed to the Jim Pond area, which we knew better. If I were to ski Sugarloaf, I would definitely stay here, as it is, as reported, 6.8 miles from the entrance, which translates into just 6-7 minutes as the road is very good. We saw deer at the end of the road during the early AM hours. We were provided with a crock pot & coffee maker and assorted nice dishes and other cook ware as well as a gas grill, which worked great. There is a restaurant right at the entrance to the camp's road "Choplin House"?, but we did not get to try it. It looked like there was a nice pub in there too. It would be walking distance if the weather was favorable, maybe it is 3/10ths of a mile away. For good pizza and sandwiches head north for about a mile and look for the gas station on the left that looks like they would sell other things besides gas. The camp has wood wide pine floors, tongue and grove pine walls and ceilings and looks really good. During warmer weather there is a cute porch with a little TV. I would highly recommend staying here except if you want to stay the dates I want to go next October, and then please stay at the Spill Over :-). You won’t know what you are missing so we will both be happy. I have rented about 6- 8 times through VRBO and have always had great experiences, like w/ this one."
