"Every summer we search for a lakefront property that will let us swim, kayak and fish. Kiwi Lodge was by far the nicest lakefront property we have ever rented. From the beautiful private setting to the lovely appointed log cabin, this rental was perfection. Kay, the owner, was so easy to work with both before and during our stay. From the moment you walk through the door, you can tell that the owner has gone to great lengths to make sure guests will have everything they need during their stay. A well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds with nice linens, seating outside on the deck, two kayaks, a canoe and paddleboat, lots of literature on local attractions, along with WIFI two TVs, DVD player, Roku, Xbox and stereo for evening entertainment or rainy days. My family of four agreed this was a great lakefront rental. We spent hours swimming, jumping off the swim float, kayaking and fishing. The owners even had a badminton/volleyball net set up, which led to some fun family competitions. I can't say enough about how great Kiwi Lodge is. If you rent this spot, you won't be disappointed!"

  • Wonderful Experience in Everyway

"We really enjoyed staying at this cottage. The location was wonderful, away from town and at the quiet end of the lake. There is a sandy beach we walked to in addition to using the sandy beach in front of the cottage The sandy beach in front of the cottage was perfect for the younger ones. They could use the stairs and play in the shallow water. We could sit in the furnished lawn chairs while the children safely played. The dock was perfect for the boat we rented from Long Lake Marina. We rented a pontoon boat with tubing equipment. They delivered to the public boat launch. Everyone was very busy with tubing, kayaking and canoeing. Mornings were very peaceful. We ate breakfast on the deck overlooking the serene water. At night we listened to the loons. A bald eagle swooped down and caught a fish right in front of us. Warblers were singing in the area at the end of the lake, near enough to walk around this area. The sunset was beautiful. Inside we had all the amenities we needed. The internet worked great for all those who couldn't break away from their electronic devise. The kitchen was nicely furnished so we were able to prepare the limited meals we chose to serve. The fire pit was great for s'mores. The cottage was clean and everything was in working order. The only suggestion would be for a way to rent linens and towels instead of having to carry these items on airplanes. One day we went to Storyland in NH. Another outing was to Pie Tree Orchard for Maine maple syrup and fruit picking, but the rest of the time was spent on the lake. We did make a trip to the Gazebo for ice cream daily. Hiking and geocaching in the area were a nice change of pace for those who wanted to do something away from the water. The owner sent emails with all necessary information, making it easy for us to know what to do and expect. The nearby property manager was friendly and unobtrusive. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. We hope to return in the future."

  • Great house!

"This house was a great choice for our family vacation. There was so much space in the house with a great view of the lake from both the porch and the downstairs patio. The house was immaculate and all furnishings were lovely - made it feel like a home away from home. Owner was very easy to work with and always very responsive during the booking process. Can't wait to rent again!"
