Peace and quiet watching the loons and the eagles!
"My husband and I needed a quiet retreat for five nights at the end of August, and we certainly found it here on Crescent Lake in the this cabin. How we enjoyed listening and watching the loon activity. We also saw the two adult eagles squawking and fighting over a fish they had caught, and we took a canoe ride down the lake to see their huge nest. The cabin is just what we were looking for; "campy", but having everything we required for our stay. Kitchen is very well supplied, and the gas grill on the deck was great. How we enjoyed going down to the dock at night to see the stars! This was such a relaxing stay. The fresh flowers that were put in the cabin and at the table on the deck were an extra special touch! Privacy was very much appreciated. We hope to be back again next year. It was just what we needed."

"We saw the lighthouse cottage online, and thought it looked great. Our expectations were more than met. Renting on an island was very fun. We decided it was like being at a very friendly Camping type resort, but with great homes. This home had everything we could want. There were 5/6 adults at various times, and 2 small children, and we all had plenty of room. The kitchen is well stocked with anything needed, plus a huge hightop table and chairs that allowed many nights of late night game playing. The view is wonderful from the deck and the house. The owers were very nice and extremely helpful. They stopped by for a quick welcome hello and gave us many island tips. Frye Island is like a hidden treasure. The little restaurant- Fyre's Leap is a seriously delicious eat in/take out restaurant...we enjoyed anything we ordered there. The stairs at the house looked like a bit of a problem at first for our 2.5 year old granddaughter's safety- but a few well placed gates took care of that. There is something about an island that is so charming and fun, and this house added just the right amount of luxury to the fun. We would rent again in a minute when we decide on Maine."

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful vacation home. Whether kayaking on serine Saturday Pond, occupying a rainy day doing puzzles on the dining room table, or using it as a home base for travels up the coast, this wonderful home met and surpassed all of our expectations."

"The "real deal" in a true Maine cottage experience. Location is excellent....on a quiet wooded oversize lot, over looking the Crooked River and conveniently located ...very short drive into town. The cottage was extremely clean, well appointed and exactly as described on the rental site. Comfortable, cozy, and
rustic with charm. I personally enjoyed the screened porch...it was my first choice for sleeping /bedroom area and a great place to enjoy morning coffee or evening conversation.
I love to cook and found the kitchen well stocked. I do bring with me special knives, favorite spices and particular cookware that I know I will use. All basic cookware and utensils are supplied and in good repair.
We had some "senior" relatives join us and as they were in the first floor bedroom, quite easy to navigate and easy access to bathroom. The upstairs bedrooms could be challenging to a senior due to the rather steep stairs however not an issue for active adults or kids.
This cottage surely exceeded my expectations and the owners were extremely responsive and helpful when booking the rental and during the stay offered many times to "be available" should we have any questions or concerns. Easy access to wi fi a plus!
We did encounter some fairly heavy rain while at the cottage and the local "road crew" were extremely prompt to ensure the road was "groomed" to eliminate ruts or rough spots.
You cannot beat this wonderful cottage at the perfect Maine / Sebago Lake Region.
Thank you so much to the Rhoads Family for sharing your home with others. Will definitely rent again if in that area."
