  • Great house

"Just returned from my first trip to Point Sebago in 5 yrs. This was by far the biggest place we have stayed at in the resort. The fact that Mother Nature did not quite cooperate was easier to take since we had a lot of space inside to play board games at that huge dining room table!! Queen bed in the master was appreciated! Large lot with great outdoor seating allowed us to have some friends staying in the resort over for a couple of nice campfires (when the rain stopped!) Thanks Jeanne and Mark for letting us rent your home."

  • Great vacation rental!

"We stayed here last summer in August of 2013. Point Sebago has been a popular vacation spot for us for years. This vacation rental was tops! It was beautifully furnished and well cared for. The owners were very easy to communicate with and were so accommodating. Highly recommend this rental! Just hope it does not become too popular that we can't get our reservation in for 2014!"

  • Sebago summer vacation 2014

"Our family has been vacationing on Sebago lake since 1990, and we have looked at and stayed at many different properties. Over the past few years, our needs have changed and we now require a bigger place that can support 10-12 people, and a dock to support a 24 foot boat. Anytime you go to a place for the first itme, you never know how it will compare to the listing photos and information. When we arrived at this property, we were very pleasantly surprised. The photos on line actually didn't do it justice. This place was amazing. It is only a couple year's old and is well laid out ot support the 12 people we had there all week. It was very clean and well maintained. All the bedrooms were very spacious and the beds very comfortable. And the Master Suite....what a spectacular view!!. The linens and bath towels were provided which made the ladies very happy!! The main floor has a wide open design that accomdated all 12 of us for dinner and nightime games. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, cooking utensils you will ever need. The dock supported my 24 foot boat and jet ski. The property is located by the Dingley Islands which provided calmer waters than other places we have rented on the main lake. One amenity this palce provided that I have yet to see elswhere is the fire pit by the water. Many locations don't allow open fires. We had one going everynight. This is definitley one of the nicer places we've stayed on Sebago lake and we would highly reccomnend it to anyone. Just call the owners; they were very helpful. Just don't take our week for next year cause we're coming back. As far as nearby restaurants, our favorite by far is Bob's Seafood in Windham. We ordered lobster one night and ate there two other times. If you like beer, Braye's Brewing Company in Naples will hit the spot. If you have a boat, I highly recommend Fry Island Cafe.. their Patriot drink is the best and goes well with chips and salsa. And for desert; Mosquito's icecream can't be beat! As far as other attractions, with a place like this and an open lake in front of you, why go anywhere else!!!! We relaxed on the dock, swam, canoed, water skied, wake boarded, knee boarded, went tubing and floated around on noodles... Can't wait till next year!!!"

Casco Travel Tips

Something Out of A Book: Casco Vacation Rentals

For avid readers, the town of Casco, Maine in Cumberland County may only be known as the home of famous American fiction writer Nathanial Hawthorne who wrote The Scarlet Letter. For vacationers who happen to love the beautiful natural landscapes that exist in Maine, Casco is known as a lovely town on Sebago Lake, a wonderful vacation spot, especially in the warmer months.

Sebago Lake Lodging: Options for Everyone

Some people like to vacation with lots of friends and family members. Others prefer to simply spend time away from home with their spouse, partner, or immediate family. Others still think that a vacation means being on their own for a few days in an idyllic landscape. The good news is that there are Casco vacation rentals for all sorts of vacationers. Fishing groups of all sizes can enjoy Sebago Lake lodging in Casco cottages or in larger Casco vacation rentals.

Casco Cottages: Little Homes in a Deep Forest

One of the most beautiful things about Casco is that it is home to part of Sebago Lake State Park which is a deeply forested area. Outdoors recreation and water recreation are both very popular activities in the state park. Casco vacation rentals, especially the Casco cottages, are wonderful Sebago Lake lodging options for those who want to enjoy the state park.

There are beautiful hiking and biking trails in the park that are easily accessible to those staying in Casco vacation rentals. The park also includes two public boat launches for those who plan on bringing their boat on vacation or plan to rent one for their time away. Some Sebago Lake lodging options include parking area where a boat and trailer can be stowed between adventures on the waters of the lake, which happens to be the deepest lake in the state of Maine.
