  • LIGHTHOUSE COTTAGE IS WONDERFUL

"We saw the lighthouse cottage online, and thought it looked great. Our expectations were more than met. Renting on an island was very fun. We decided it was like being at a very friendly Camping type resort, but with great homes. This home had everything we could want. There were 5/6 adults at various times, and 2 small children, and we all had plenty of room. The kitchen is well stocked with anything needed, plus a huge hightop table and chairs that allowed many nights of late night game playing. The view is wonderful from the deck and the house. The owers were very nice and extremely helpful. They stopped by for a quick welcome hello and gave us many island tips. Frye Island is like a hidden treasure. The little restaurant- Fyre's Leap is a seriously delicious eat in/take out restaurant...we enjoyed anything we ordered there. The stairs at the house looked like a bit of a problem at first for our 2.5 year old granddaughter's safety- but a few well placed gates took care of that. There is something about an island that is so charming and fun, and this house added just the right amount of luxury to the fun. We would rent again in a minute when we decide on Maine."

  • Beautiful cottages, comfortable, immaculate

"We've been in both cottages. They are just beautiful, decorated, comfortable, everything you would need. Close walking distance to the beach and all activities. It's worth the stay, owners are very fussy about the cottages and insist everything is perfect for their guests."

  • Great House, Amazing Value

"We just returned from Maine/Sebago Lake the other day and we had a fabulous experience staying at this house. It was perfect for our families (9 total; 5 kids and 4 adults). It was just enough room for everyone. The lake access was close and very easy to get to. The lake was cool, crisp and pure as can be. The kids loved jumping off the floating dock. We also saw some bald eagles - truly magical. The owner was the nicest, most accommodating landlord you could ask for, and so are the neighbors. The area is beautiful and all round, just a wonderful family vacation. We would definitely return, especially for the price. We looked and looked and this was by far the best deal."

  • Perfect, peaceful place.

"I am reluctant to leave a review of this cabin for fear others might discover one of the sweetest vacation retreats in New England! The cabin was exactly as described, the scenery serene. Whether making s'mores by the firepit steps from the lake, reading by the cabin's fireplace, swimming, sunbathing, conoeing, fishing, or just relaxing, this spot has it all. My family of four (two children 11 &12) had a wonderful time bonding, laughing together, and being "unplugged" (by choice). There are places to buy groceries and supplies, an amusement park for the kid in all of us, antique and junque shops for treasure-hunters, hiking and biking trails for the fitness-conscious, all manner of restaurants serving various cuisines, a cinema for those rainy days, and lots of home-made ice-cream stands - all within about 5-10 miles of the cabin. We were all so reluctant to return to our "normal" lives of deadlines, schedules, stress, and commuting. Once mortals have tasted ambrosia, it's hard to go back to casseroles..."
