Best Cottage we have rented in 30 years
"Nancy and I have been coming to Maine for over 30 years, renting cottages on several of the beautiful lakes in the Sebago area. This is our first stay at this property. Without exaggeration, this cottage is the best we have ever rented, exceeding all of our expectations.
When we arrived we found a "welcome gift" on the kitchen counter and a blueberry pie and ice cream in the fridge for us, a very pleasant surprise. That thoughtful touch was reflected throughout this well cared for and maintained cottage.
It is immaculate, well-appointed and furnished and has a magnificent beach and view of Lake Sebago. The appliances are all modern and the Internet service is excellent.
This cottage is about a ten-minute ride to Windham, "the big city", for shopping, restaurants and services, all very convenient.
We are both morning walkers and this is located off the main road, secluded and perfect for walking.
We highly recommend this property!"

"My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at this property. The house has been completely renovated and the grounds are immaculate. The porch is a wonderful spot for eating meals and relaxing after a day in the sun or on the water. There is a nice small sandy beach for those not inclined to dive off the dock. The house is located behind a set of small islands and thus sheltered from the wind and waves of the big open lake. This makes it very conducive to water-skiing, tubing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and swimming due to the calmer water. On days when it was windy on the big part of the lake, it was most enjoyable in this cove."

"My wife and I recently rented the cottage for the week along with our two sons (10 & 12) and four of their friends. The Cottage is tucked back at the end of a private road in Sebago State Park along with only 6 other cottages. Private & quiet but not isolated.
Being right in the park was ideal. Kids had access to miles of nearby trails and a choice of 3 spots to enjoy the lake. The main state park beach was only a 5 minute walk and there are clean bathrooms, picnic tables and grills that you can use. However, the spot that everyone loved was the small beach that was literally a minute walk directly behind the cottage. The kids played beach soccer, football, floated on the inner tubes we brought and did what 12 years olds do-run around non stop. We had the beach mostly to ourselves the entire time.
The cottage itself had plenty of room for everyone to relax. Four bedrooms and a large room with comfortable cots provided the kids multiple sleeping options. Two full bathrooms/showers along with complimentary shampoo/conditioner kept the kids smelling (relatively) fresh.
In the cottage, the owners Scott and Pam thought of every detail, large and small to make for an enjoyable stay-Split firewood for the firepit, charcoal and ligher fluid for the grill, horeshoe pit, canoe, kayaks, hammock, plenty of outdoor furniture and the "little" things like new sponges, dish detergent, clothes detergent and even flashlights that the kids used on their night hikes were greatly appreciated. We particulary loved the large DVD collection. The kids watched a different movie each night and was a great way to get them to have some down time. The other highlight was our nightly "smore" making party as we relaxed and talked about the day.
The location to other towns/activiites/restaurants is excellent. We went to a nearby amusement park one day played a few rounds of mini golf another and grabbed ice cream at the Naples Causeway. We ate out a few times but cooked at the cottage the majority of the time. The nearby Umbrella Factory Supermarket(Tony C's) while small, was perfect for stocking up on supplies.
Communication with Scott and Pam was prompt and professional at every stage of the process. Extremely pleasant and helpful. Their efforts in making sure we had what we needed did not go unnoticed.
If you are looking for a true lake cottage expereince where you can spend some quality time with friends or family this is the ideal place."

"My wife and I have enjoyed several stays at this log home on Crescent Lake. On two occasions, we’ve invited friends from Europe to join us. And a few years ago we had a handful of our oldest friends meet there for a 30 year college reunion. What keeps us so enthusiastic about coming back and about sharing this place with our friends is the fact that it doesn’t feel like a “rental”. As soon as we arrive, the house feels like a home, and everybody we’ve been there with feels equally comfortable as soon as they walk in the door.
Since I really enjoy being outdoors, I’m never at a loss for things to do in Raymond. Crescent lake is the perfect size for casual trips in either of the two canoes that have always been down by the dock. Not everybody has been up for a climb to the summit of Rattlesnake Mountain. But I’ve tried to make it a daily routine and gotten some magnificent photos from its overlooks that face at least four of the region’s lakes. Everybody I’ve been there with has especially enjoyed gathering on the screened-in porch for meals and for conversation. The younger kids have spent hours searching for minerals in the crushed granite drive that leads down to the house. And they just loved the nearby Maine Wildlife Park. My wife’s absolute favorite memory is the sound of the loons, especially at night. I’m not much of a TV enthusiast, myself. But everybody else was impressed by the cable service that seemed to offer just about every channel that they could ask for. Day or night, I personally prefer watching nature unfold at the end of the exceptionally spacious dock.
This year, we arrived in the off-season and were delighted to be there for the onset of autumn color. At times, we felt like we were the only people on the entire lake and the tranquility was an added bonus to our stay. We brought our own kayaks this time, and after a little trial and error managed to navigate all the way from the log home into Sebago Lake! It’s an all-day trip, and I wouldn’t recommend it to the casual paddler. But for any serious kayaker or canoeist who doesn’t mind a couple of short portages, it’s an exceptional run!
Thanks for another memorable vacation. And we’ll look forward to coming back next year!"
